No, i don't think it's like that season with Aaryn but it did sound somewhat racist to me.  I guess we'll know as the season goes on.

I've yet to meet a white person who could tan to the point of being black though.  Ever.   But I doubt they were meaning to be racist, either.

I think as a society, yes, we need to be careful with words at times, but we also need to stop crying racism at every little thing and look at the intent.  If it wasn't intended to be racist?  Let it go, or tell the person that hey, that could be construed as racist.  It's not like they were being like that season Aryan was on...Ayran?  Whatever that racist womans name was.

Did I read the article wrong?  I thought they were saying their skin color was getting ghetto - from tanning too much?  Not saying Bayleigh is ghetto?

I'm so white I burn within 5 minutes of being in the sun.  I don't get the tanning obsession anyhow, having had skin cancer once at a young age.  Maybe they are viewing their tan as a dirt color?  Cause the few times I have tanned, it's looked...dirty hehe  Like I was covered in a layer of brown dirt.
