Re: [FunBBGroup] Celebrity Big Brother cast leaks

Yeah, me too.
I have never watched any of the mtv reality shows, none of those people interest me at all.
I'd rather just have a shortened version of the show with reg people.

Yea kind of disappointing. I kind of figured it was going to be mostly reality TV stars.  Johnny bananas will be interesting but he's a real jerk. He's on mtv the challenge all the time. Right now he and Natalie from 2 seasons ago (the one who was with James) are flirting big time on the challenge. She and Victor are both on that show this season. Lance Bass is a big BB fan so he may be ok. But yea, no real celebrities. It's kind of like all the other celebrity shows like celebrity apprentice, they have on mostly reality TV stars or people who used to be actors. Although here barely any are real actors.

I am incredibly underwhelmed! Talk about a bunch of nobodies! Lance Bass is the only true celebrity that most people know . Well Terrell Owens the football player is well known too if you follow NFL football !

Actually anyone can be replaced.

Judge Judy & CBS Sued Again Over Profits For Syndication's Biggest Court Show

January 22, 2018 4:21pm
Once again, Judge Judy finds herself on the other side of the bench with a new breach-of-contract complaint filed against the top TV judge and CBS. While the jury-trial seeking suit from Kaye Switzer and the trust of the late Sandi Spreckman doesn't specify damages, it does state that the plaintiffs are owed $4.75 million from the $95 million sale of Judge Judy to the House of Moonves in August.
Similar to the big-bucks legal action that Rebel Entertainment filed in March 2016 over profits from the long-running syndicated court show, this move is built on decades-old contracts and their legacy in today's media landscape.. The defendants in the new suit are Scheindlin, CBS Corp, CBS Studios and Big Ticket Television.

In the seven-count document filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court (read it here), the plaintiffs note that in early 2015, "Big Ticket and the CBS Defendants, while negotiating with Judge Judith Sheindlin for continued episodes of the Judge Judy show, negotiated for the transfer of the Library to Judge Judith Sheindlin. The transfer by the Producers (as defined above) was made subject to the rights of Participants. Accordingly, Plaintiffs did not receive compensation for the sale/transfer but were to receive revenue from any airing or sale of !he episodes."
It then adds: "On or about August 8, 2017, it was announced that Defendant Sheindlin sold the Library to CBS Television Distribution for a sales price 'over $95,000,000.' None of the Defendants have compensated the Plaintiffs for their portion of the sales proceeds. Nothing in any of the contracts would allow for a second sale of the Library to be made "subject to the rights of Participant". That was a provision that only applied to the Producers, defined as 'Big Ticket Pictures, Inc., a subsidiary of Spelling Television Group Inc. Accordingly, the Defendants have breached the contracts by failing to pay the Plaintiffs their percentage interest in the sale of the episodes."
CBS did not respond to Deadline's request for comment on the new lawsuit. We will update when and if they do.
It's been nearly two years since  Rebel Entertainment Partners sued the same defendants — sans Sheindlin — claiming that it has been denied contractually obligated payments since 2010 from the net profits of Judge Judy because it supposedly is "losing money," while paying Sheindlin herself up to $47 million a year.
When Sheindlin was deposed for that case, she let the Les Moonves-run CBS to know that she's the judge, jury and executor. "CBS had no choice but to pay me what I wanted because otherwise I could take it wherever I wanted to take it or do it myself," she said matter-of-factly to lawyers in the summer of 2016. "Their back's to the wall. They pay me the money that they do because they have no choice. They can't find another one."
That case, which seeks widespread unspecified damages, is facing a March trial start.
Attorney Richard A. Schonfeld of Chesnoff & Schonfeld of Las Vegas is repping the plaintiffs in the new case. Make your bets …

[Reality-TV-Fanatics] NBC stunned by how far Megyn Kelly went with Fonda attack

I wonder if they will have a *talk* with her?

NBC stunned by how far Megyn Kelly went with Fonda attack

Page Six 13 hours ago
Megyn Kelly got approval from higher-ups at NBC before launching her hair-raising attack on Jane Fonda, Page Six has learned — but we're told that prominent members of the organization were then stunned by how far the broadside went.
Peacock Network insiders fear that the take-down — in which Kelly dredged up Fonda's "Hanoi Jane" episode to argue that the actress was in no position to "say what's offensive" — will make it even harder for Kelly to book celebrity guests on her show in case they suffer the same fate.
On Monday's episode of NBC's "Megyn Kelly Today," the host announced that she had stayed silent after Fonda had publicly criticized her for asking the "Grace and Frankie" star about her plastic surgery during a September interview.
But after Fonda brought it up again recently, Kelly had decided that "it's time to address [Fonda's] 'poor me' routine."
The morning host said that Fonda had happily discussed the topic in other interviews, then launched into a diatribe about Fonda's controversial opposition to the Vietnam War. (As Joy Behar said on ABC's "The View": "To drag the Vietnam War into a plastic-surgery conversation is a real stretch, Megyn. OK?").
Sources say the public flogging shocked Kelly's fellow NBC News staffers.
"The problem is that nobody at NBC is controlling Megyn. They paid her more than $20 million to host the 9 a.m. show, and she's been given too much power. But the fact remains: You can't say those things, or be so aggressive, on morning TV," said an insider. "Plus, Megyn was already having trouble booking celebrities — so how is she ever going to book other stars if they disagree and she goes on air later and trashes them?"
In addition to the Fonda face-off, Debra Messing said publicly that she regretted going on the show to promote the "Will & Grace" reboot, and some publicists have privately said they are disinclined to book talent on her show.
A rep for the show did not comment.

[Reality-TV-Fanatics] 'The Amazing Race' Recap: A First Place Finish and One Memorable Marriage Proposal

Awwwwwww how neat a proposal.
And MY fav team is STILL in the RACE!!!!!

'The Amazing Race' Recap: A First Place Finish and One Memorable Marriage Proposal

The Amazing Race continues in this episode, titled "Gotta Put Your Sole Into It," as Phil Keoghan leads nine teams across the world in the name of $1 million. The fourth leg of their journey takes competitors to France, where a Speed Bump is issued to Team Slam Dunk for surviving a non-elimination round. Can they turn their survival into the ultimate comeback to knock down one of the top dogs of the game? This truly is anyone's race!

Team Yale will lead the way to Saint-Tropez, France, as they and their fellow competitors wind their way through the traffic-filled streets of Tangier towards the airport. Once there, they take to the streets, driving themselves along the coastline to their first sailing Road Block.

Prime Optimus

Teams must choose one person to assemble an Optimus sailing boat and make their way out to the buoys that hold their next clue, which is split into two parts on two separate buoys. Team Extreme finishes with a breeze, while Team IndyCar misunderstands the instructions after already having trouble with their boat and has to return to the waters. Meanwhile, Team Firefighters can't even find the docks for the car trouble they continue to have. Every time they need to turn around, they have to get out of the car and manually push the vehicle backwards. Team Ocean Rescue is having troubles of their own -- the domestic kind. Lucas is frustrated that they're lost, and Brittany turns on the water works.

Speed Bump

Team Slam Dunk arrives to the dock and must stack 15 of the Optimus boats from the beach to the racks in numerical order before continuing the race.

Evan of Team Yale is having the hardest day. Not only is she struggling to sail or paddle her way towards even the halfway mark between the beach and the first buoy, but a quick turn of the head costs a corner of her tooth! She smacks her head against the metal rod of the sail and chips her tooth. Ouch! She's a trooper, though, and continues to fight for that clue. With Team Ocean Rescue in and out, it's Team Slam Dunk and Team Firefighters head-to-head in a slow and steady race to not be in last place.

Detours

"Bread" -- Here, teams must bake 50 baguettes.
"Tread" -- Or they can choose to re-create a pair of sandals.

Team Extreme is first to arrive at the Tread Detour and the first to finish and make their way to the Head-to-Head challenge. Meanwhile Team IndyCar and Team Big Brother take second and third place after rolling the dough.

Head-to-Head

Teams must compete against one another in games of Petanque. This could turn everything around. The results of these games will determine who arrives on the mat at which place in the overall race.

1st Team: IndyCar
2nd Team: Big Brother
3rd Team: Extreme
4th Team: Chomp
5th Team: Well Strung
6th Team: Yale
7th Team: Firefighters

Team Ocean Rescue must now wait on Team Slam Dunk to find their way to the park and play one last game to stay in the race. Which team will come out on top? Which team will go home?

Going home is ... Team Slam Dunk

After bouncing back from a Speed Bump, the athletes cannot seem to adapt to a new sport and lose their spot in the race thanks to Team Ocean Rescue.

The second half of the leg has the teams driving through the night to Les Baux-de-Provence, France. In case anyone was wondering about Evan's tooth, she had it fixed during the pit stop, so that smile sparkles on the way to their next destination, Chateau des Baux-de-Provence. Here, the teams must wait until opening hours to find their next Road Block instructions.

Let's Get Medieval

Teams must now pick one member to recreate an iconic medieval catapult correctly while their partner waits in the stockade.

Team Ocean Rescue pulls out in first place as Lucas constructs his catapult correctly and rescues Brittany from the stocks. Behind them are Team Big Brother and Team Extreme in second and third places. Soon after, Team Firefighters and Team Yale scurry off to the next destination. Team Chomp and Team IndyCar are the last two teams, struggling to finish their catapults once Team Well Strung finishes. At Cafe de la Fontaine, teams find a wine drinker who has their clue to the detours.

Detours

"Full of Bull" -- Here, teams must retrieve red, white and blue ribbons from fake bulls planted in various places around a stadium.
"Colorful" - Or they can choose to unlock a famous Van Gogh portrait of a bridge to find the clue hidden inside.

Team Chomp is the only team who picks the Colorful Detour while everyone else decides to run up and down the stadium stands, checking bulls for colored ribbons. It may be more time-consuming and exhausting, but so far it looks to be the better option of the two choices.

Team Ocean Rescue finds their ribbons first, with Team Extreme hot on their tails. From there, they must race to meet Phil at the mat. Whoever gets there last just might be eliminated!

Coming in first place is Team Ocean Rescue, who also wins a trip to Bali. This fails in comparison to what happens next, though. Lucas stops Phil as he and second place Team Extreme are congratulating them on their leading leg to turn to his partner/girlfriend and ask for her hand in marriage (as Team Firefighters come in third place)! That's right, folks. We have an Amazing Race proposal, and she accepts the gorgeous ring while crying ... again. Now each time a new team makes it to the mat, Phil has to clue them in on what's just happened. Back to the race!

Team Chomp finally arrives at the Colorful Detour but has a hard time figuring out how to open the box when they probably solved the puzzle numerous times. Meanwhile, Team Well Strung gets lost on their way to the Full of Bull stadium and still has to run around and retrieve the ribbons. Who will finish first?

Also Going Home is ... Team Chomp

Team Well Strung manages to finish their Detour just that much faster, enabling themselves to continue their journey alongside seven other teams on the path to $1 million!
