[Reality-TV-Fanatics] The Bachelorette 2020 Week 6 Recap and Live Blog

The Bachelorette 2020 Week 6 Recap and Live Blog

11/17/2020 E.M. Rosenberg RecapsThe Bachelorette

It's Week Six, which means you can forget Clare ever lived, in addition to what happened in Afghanistan, and whether we get to know who's been wearing the Snow Owls masks.

That better be something good, since I'm terrified of every other response on reality TV this week. At least Yousif is gone, particularly when I have no idea how to spell his name.

At least we can calm down over new Bachelorette Tayshia Adams. The Clare replacement—but with a pleasant demeanor, so we'll have to find issues with her elsewhere (claps hands)—debuted last week. She's met all the remaining guys, plus a handful of new ones to replace those who got away or just lacked dramatic skills to express how they feel about former failed relationships. One guy took himself out for being uninterested, which seems like the best reason there is. Wising best of luck to whoever it was.

Tonight's episode of Wheel of Fortune is brought to us by Prevegel, a memory-inducing ointment. Unfortunately, it'll only helps us recall Pat's haircuts from 1997 to 2003. None of us wanted to remember Clare, though.

There's extra emphasis on nakedness this week. Tayshia looks forward to this date, apparently because she hasn't gotten a lot of action. She's going to test them with some really inane questions that don't even ask who the stars are the following show are. No one gets a diploma, although they do learn what Raketan means.

The next challenge involves physical making of breakfast. The other guys fret at what the competitors prepare even though none if made by a professianol. Bennant gets a kiss for his pre-baked dessert, which irritates his competitors. He's either a goner tonight or the new evil guy, although neither choice is Tayshia's.

The guys spend some time bitching at the winner. Then Ed turns on another guy for variety. The next new fellow tells her he wasn't a "relationship" guy until he met her, which fortunately she doesn't try to investigate. Tayshia is thrilled to have has so many positive relationships now.

So naturally, someone has to try to undo one. Bearing the baby like it's his laundry, Ed tells Tayshia that Chasen just wants online-followers. Don't they all? But she needs some time to think it all over.

Moments later, she returns to award the rose to Ivan. Not sure what went into thinking there, but okay.

Time for the Rose Ceremony. The guy who got called out by Tayshia is nervous. A little late for that. Do they buy 350 versions of the same dress in different colors? Ed tries going after Chasten again, as his whole personality is that guy and the fake baby, who doesn't bring much to the relationship. Chasten is then confronted by Ed, which of course leads nothing but a back a few pages.

She tells the group she needs to think about a few things, probably including trimming her ends, before making any rose-related decisions tonight. After uttering two sentences to Chris, about these thoughts, she gives roses to Kenny and Ben, as well as some other people, Jordan, and Ed, although without a reason why. Chasten gets the final flower, because that's the best they can do.

Chasen and Ed are in the next group date. The guys walks in on Tayshia beating up a couple of pro-wrestlers. After practicing among each tonight, they're get the chance to beats someone else to earn a presumably a date with their love. The grease level is very impressive. Chasten and Ed are set to got for it until Ed cops out with a bone spur or some thing. She better send the child packing. His doll can stay.

Chasen tries to make nice by giving the  belt he won to everyone. Tayshia tells Noah she doesn't like his mustache. She always goes for the big issues. Ben waits patiently for his chance with Tayzhia but it appears he won't get time with her until a commercial. One on Thursday afternoon.

Noah returns with his 'stache attached. He wants her to shave it. Then the evening's over, so she gives the rose to him. Someone else is pissed off.

[Reality-TV-Fanatics] The Voice Recap Season 19 Knockouts 1 Results

The Voice season 19 Knockouts begin tonight with coaches Blake SheltonKelly Clarkson John Legend and Gwen StefaniCarson Daly hosts. We'll be live blogging all the Knockout performances and Results right here.

Former The Voice coach Usher will serve as Mega Mentor. He WON The Voice season 6 with team member Josh Kaufman

Twenty-eight contestants remain. Each coach will pair up their remaining artists who will choose a song to perform in front of the coaches. The coach will pick a winner to advance to the Live Playoffs. The remaining singer will be eliminated OR stolen by another coach

Each coach gets one steal a (The four saves from Battles will compete in a four way knockout)

The Voice Recap Season 19 Knockouts 1

Team John Legend – Tamara Jade vs Casmé

Both artists have been grinding for 20 years. Casme had volunteered for Usher's New Look charity. John compliments her rock singing. He suggests that she tighten the delivery at the beginning. Usher compliments her stage presence. Tamara is next. She watched Usher perform her song choice for the Obama inauguration. Tamara's mom is a teacher. Usher admires her passion, but warns her not to let the performance get away from her

Tamara Jade – Higher Ground by Stevie Wonder – Tamara is a front runner right now, I think. I can't imagine her not winning this matchup. She's soulful, churchy, passionate, but sings with a ton of control. Her runs are tasteful. Also, she personalizes the song in a way that makes her performance hard to deny.

Casmé – Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus – Showing versatility makes sense. But this is not a good song choice. Casmé is having problems staying in tune. Her phrasing is all over the place. It's a shame, because her stage presence and energy are infectious. But this song is not it. Tamara is the clear winner of this Knockout.

Gwen called Casmé's performance beautiful, Tamara's voice "ridiculous." She would pick her. Kelly can't choose. Blake thought Casmé finished stronger than she started. But Tamara was perfect. John noted how risky Casmé's song choice was. John picks Tamara, Casmé is eliminated I hate to see Casmé go, but her song choice did her in.

Team Gwen Stefani – Payge Turner vs Ryan Berg

Payge grew up feeling like an outsider which is why she connects to the song. As an outsider herself, Gwen feels a special kinship with Payge. She can imagine playing in a band together. Gwen pushes Payge to act out the song's meaning even more. Usher suggests she make it even more awkward. Payge is so into it, she's moved to tears. Ryan dedicates his song to his girlfriend. They've been together 7 years. Gwen warns that it takes away from the emotion if he pushes too hard on the gas. Usher encourages his falsetto.  We previewed this performance HERE.

Payge Turner – Creep by Radiohead – This song has been covered over and over again on singing shows. But Payge's rendition is truly unique. She's pouring emotion into performance. It's naked vulnerability. It's probably one of my favorite covers of this song, and that's saying a lot.

Ryan Berg – Making Me Look Good Again by Drake White – It's too bad Ryan is up against a talent like Payge. He's your standard issue blue eyed soul singer, but he's solid. Great tone, creative phrasing–I wonder if he's a songwriter? I'm not sure why Gwen would pit these two very different artists up against each other.

Kelly thinks they are both incredible, but completely different storytellers. Blake says Ryan sounds like a beast. Blake compares Payge's performance to an out of body experience. John was utterly stunned by Payge. He'd chose her. Gwen is proud that Payge took all her notes. She thinks Ryan wakes up on stage in the moment. Gwen picks Payge, Ryan is eliminated. Aw. I hate to see Ryan go.

Team Blake Shelton – Ben Allen vs Worth the Wait

Ben's Battle was montaged. He's two years into a marriage with a city gal. Blake suggests that Ben add a little more finesse. He's overdoing the dips. Worth The Wait, a family trio, harmonize on country songs. Usher suggests the lead singer step step forward and not hold back. The group was told the same thing during the Battles. Oh. The mom's 80 year old parents just tested positive for Covid..

Ben Allen – She Got the Best of Me by Luke Combs – He does that Scotty McCreery deep voice thing, but not as well. His tone is rich, though. He's a little too twangy, but he is toning down the dips and country affectations, which is a good thing.

Worth the Wait – Delta Dawn by Tanya Tucker – The group is at their best when harmonizing. It's true, there's nothing like family harmonies. When individual singers step out for solos, they aren't as impressive. There are many solo singers in this competition who are better.

SOMEBODY IS GETTING STOLEN. John calls Ben "consistently good" and describes Worth the Wait's performance as their best. He'd pick them. Gwen calls Ben's performance her favorite. Kelly thinks Ben is rock solid. Kelly loves the group's blend. Blake calls Ben classic. Blake picks Worth the Wait, Gwen Steals Ben Well, that should be interesting collaboration. She'll probably give him a makeover like she did Craig Wayne Boyd

[Reality-TV-Fanatics] MasterChef Junior' Alum Ben Watkins Dead at 14

Oh darn I remember him  Poor kid had a rough life after the death of both parents and now this

'MasterChef Junior' Alum Ben Watkins Dead at 14

'MASTERCHEF JUNIOR' BEN WATKINSDEAD AT

11/17/2020 1:40 PM PT

Ben Watkins, famous for competing in "MasterChef Junior," is dead after a battle with cancer.

Ben, who was undergoing treatment for an extremely rare form of cancer at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, died Monday ... according to his family.

He was diagnosed with a soft tissue tumor when he was only 13 years old, and the family says doctors told them Ben was 1 of only 6 people in the entire world diagnosed with the rare illness called Angiomatoid Fibrous Histiocytoma.

An aspiring chef, Ben used to cook and man the front counter at Big Ben's Bodacious BBQ and Delicatessen in Gary, Indiana. with his late parents, who died 3 years ago in a murder-suicide. Ben's grandma and uncle remembered him as "the strongest person we've ever known."

Ben competed in season 6 of the Gordon Ramsay-hosted cooking competition show, "MasterChef Junior," when he was only 11 years old and quickly became a fan-favorite.

Gordon and Ben's former "MasterChef Junior" competitors sent him a special video earlier this year when he was battling cancer, letting him know they were praying for him and helping raise donations for a GoFundMe, which is now a memorial fund.

Ben was 14.

RIP
