Re: [FunBBGroup] COVID-19 numbers

That is awesome news Jeff.  I'm so happy to hear that.  I'll keep her in my prayers to continue to get better but sounds like things are definitely in the right direction.  Thanks for letting us know!

The latest on my wife Jill's friend (Kathy ) is they have successfully gotten her off the ventilator and she is breathing on her own ..
She was on a ventilator for 14 days . Usually if you are on a ventilator that long you do not make it .
So she is weak but she is breathing on her own and doctors feel good about her chances now ! 👍 she is a fighter and very much wanted to live . Her husband is thrilled,
Yay!!! Yippee!  She is off the ventilator!

Re: [FunBBGroup] COVID-19 numbers

I think people somehow are comforted in thinking if I have enough toilet paper I can survive this pandemic .

Personally I want to have plenty of food in my pantry . But I guess it helps people to think they will be able to wipe their butt in these trying times !

I don't understand how people can think that.  Well, I know where it started, where people got the idea that it's a political hoax or political tool.   Sadly that theory was promoted for over a month to people who refuse to believe facts.

I really hope the new death estimates are high.   And I keep reminding myself of all the good.

In other news, people need to stop hoarding food, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies.   Seriously, to ensure we get what we need, I can either send my son to the store and hope there are items we want/need, or go at 6am during the two hour seniors and high risk hours, to be sure I get what we need.   As a high risk person with 3 conditions that make me high risk, it irks me.   I'd do delivery, but over half of what we usually get we can't get....   I can't believe I am saying this, but I look forward to the day when I can buy Charmin toilet paper and chicken breasts again.

Sorry to hear about your wife's friend.  I hope she recovers and soon.  Yea, I don't think anyone here is thinking this virus is nothing...  I know I've been terrified about it, i'm afraid to even go food shopping but have no choice as delivery slots and pickup slots are all taken for up to a couple of weeks and there's no more to even choose.  My husband has been going food shopping the last few times but that doesn't make me feel any better because I worry for him.  Our numbers here in NJ just keep going up and up and it doesn't feel like there's an end in sight.  We've been locked down for about 2 weeks and schools have been closed for about 3 weeks.

[Reality-TV-Fanatics] The Masked Singer 3 Recap – Face-Off Pt 1 Results – Live Blog (Videos)

Tonight the Face Offs return on The Masked Singer! It's Night Angel vs Kangaroo and  Turtle vs Astronaut.  ONE celebrity  The loser of each face off will battle in the Smack Down! The loser will leave the competition. The three remaining contestants move on to the Super 6.

Ken Jeong,  Jenny McCarthyNicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke sit on the panel, while Nick Cannon serves as host. Yvette Nicole Brown from community is the guest judge.

Night Angel vs Kangaroo

Night Angel
Clues: It's the battle of the reality stars!

Performance – Man I Feel Like a Woman by Shania Twain – Night Angel sounds HORRIBLE this week. I don't think this is the right song for her. Maybe she has a cold? Her vibrato is all wonky and her voice cracks. Yvonne notes how different the singers sound in studio. Night angel's security bag: Snowglobe, Ostrich, a bee and a crown. "I present you with these clues, so you can stop  winging it with your guesses." BOSS. This bag is mine. Hm. Ken guesses Taraji P. Henson. He jokes "I married a ho." His wife's last name is Ho. Get it? GET IT? Hm. Nicole guesses KeKe Palmer. Yvonne guesses Vanessa Williams.

Prediction: Night angel is Kandi Burruss from Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Kangaroo

Performance: No Air by Jordin Sparks – Why not sing Jordin Sparks when the panel has thrown her name out as a guess several times? Of course, Kangaroo is absolutely NOT JORDIN as this pretty terrible cover of the song proves. What's wrong with these performances so far? That was SO OFF PITCH. Blargh. Kangaroo's security bag : contains: Tower of London, a record player, a ship in a bottle, lipstick and a pom pom with a "FIRST" tag. Hm. She confesses that she's never performed in front of people, before her Masked Singer experience. Robin guesses La La Anthony. Ken guesses Keira Knightley. Nicole guesses Blac Chyna. Yvette guesses Ayesha Curry.

Prediction: Kangaroo was UNMASKED tonight! Check out the big reveal at the bottom of the page.

RESULTS:

And the winner of the face off is…Night Angel!

Astronaut vs Turtle

Clues: It's the battle of the teen idols! "In a lot of ways this face off was inevitable.." No kidding! "We both kept the ladies swooning." Thrilling the kiddos in the aughts, these two. (See below for predictions!)

Astronaut

Performance: If I Can't Have You by Shawn Mendes – Now, this is a pretty good performance from Astronaut. He's got some breath control problems (The suit maybe). But he's staying on key, mostly. That's a hard song to sing. In Turtles Security bag: The White House, An airplane, an accordion and a light bulb.  "I'm an open book, now it's your mission to unearth my identity." Jenny guesses Ben Platt. Ken guesses Seth Green. Nicole guesses Austin Mahone.

Prediction: Astronaut is definitely country singer Hunter Hayes. At age 7 he was invited by Bill Clinton to perform for a White House lawn party. The accordion probably relates to his Cajun ancestry. He has performed Jambalaya on the Bayou and performed Cajun songs in French. Hunter released a single called "Light Me Up." Maybe that's what the light bulb means? I believe the airplane refers to him flying around to play multiple dates in 24 hours, which broke a Guinness World's Record.

Turtle

Performance: Let it Go by James Bay – Turtle is delivering a very pretty rendition of "Let it Go." He's the better singer here, for sure. Astronaut is definitely losing the faceoff. Nicole will be in tears any minute now. Heh. In Turtle's security bag: Baseball glove, cologne, a sign that says Never Keep This Bag Open, a judge's gavel, a crown on a book, and left arrow. "What should be easy is figuring out these clues, take it slow like a turtle, I promise it will fit like a glove." Jenny guesses Adam Lambert. LOLLLL. No. Yvette guesses Joey McIntyre. Ken guesses Niall Horan.

Prediction: Turtle is most certainly the pop star, songwriter and actor, Jesse McCartney. Jesse appeared in the Princess Diaries II and sang a duet with Anne Hathaway. That explains the book with the crown cover. He guest starred on Law and Order: SVU, hence the gavel. In 2011 he introduced a woman's fragrance called "Wanted by Jesse." And Yvette pointed out that the sign could be an anagram for New Kids On the Block. Jesse toured with the group in 2009.

RESULTS

The winner of this Face Off is TURTLE.

Now that Turtle and Night Angel have won their Face Offs, it's time for Kangaroo and Astronaut to compete in the SMACKDOWN

Kangaroo vs Astronaut

Kangaroo sings Hot Stuff by Donna Summer and it's pretty bad. Astronaut should win by default. He sings Bye Bye Bye by N'Sync and maybe I take that back. Astronaut is having major breath control problems tonight. Both Kangaroo and Astronaut are struggling tonight. The two engage in a little scripted smacktalk after their performances. Now it's time to vote.

The panel picks the winner! The votes are in. And the WINNER of the SMACKDOWN is Astronaut!

Leaving the competition…

Kangaroo is eliminated! Final guesses. Ken guesses Cat Deeley of So You Think You Can Dance. That's a terrible guess. Cat has a very distinct British accent and she does not sing. Robin guesses La La Anthony. Nicole guesses Blac Chyna.  Jenny guesses Jordyn Woods. DING.

And the Kangaroo is…Jordyn Woods! "You guys were off every week! Jenny is good," she says. She used to be pals with the Kardashians and appeared on Kyle's reality show. Now, she's a big social media influencer.

  • The wooden model plane in Kangaroo's package is a clue to Jordyn's modeling career and her last name, Woods.
  • The Vine and Gramophone in Kangaroo's package are clues to Jordyn's huge social media popularity on Vine and Instagram.
