Sorry I didn't get a chance to finish.. the phone rang...Why don't all companies have that moral clause in their employee's contracts ??  They know how some powerful people act towards their subordinates..it doesn't make sense that not ONE of their lawyers said...we should protect ourselves in case  somebody acts badly. All branches of our military have a rule that a Superior officer cannot date a person of lower rank...a lot of companies have a rule that an employee who has the power to fire or give a raise to somebody who reports to them cannot be romantically involved with them... I mean... it's only common sense..

The last thing I read was that they are not going to pay severance or give him his "golden parachute" because they were smart enough to include a morals clause in his contract.  Stupid of all the other

NBC News Chief Andy Lack Updates Staff On Probe Of Matt Lauer "Appalling Behavior"

December 1, 2017 10:26am

AP

NBC News Chairman Andy Lack, under the gun after more women came forward claiming to have sexually harassed and/or assaulted by Matt Lauer, issued another memo to staff on Friday, promising NBCUniversal Legal and Human Resources teams have begun a review of his biggest stars's "appalling behavior" and "what we can do to build a culture of greater transparency, openness and respect for each other."

The memo:

Dear Colleagues,

The most vital thing we've done since terminating Matt Lauer's employment on Tuesday night has been spending time listening to your concerns, your feedback, your ideas on how we move forward as an organization.

As I said in my note on Wednesday: our highest priority is to create a workplace environment where everyone feels safe and protected, and to ensure that any actions that run counter to our core values are met with consequences, no matter who the offender.

Many of you have asked what we are doing to learn as much as we can about the circumstances around Matt Lauer's appalling behavior, why this was able to happen, and why it wasn't reported sooner.

This week we saw that when an employee comes forward to report misconduct, the system works. The complaint is quickly assessed and meaningful action is taken. But we also learned that we must do a much better job of making people feel empowered to take that crucial first step of reporting bad behavior. launching an immediate effort to implement in-person training on sexual harassment awareness and appropriate behavior in the workplace.

To that end, I have three things to share with you.

A team of the most experienced NBCUniversal Legal and Human Resources leaders have begun a thorough and timely review of what happened and what we can do to build a culture of greater transparency, openness and respect for each other. At the conclusion of the review we will share what we've learned, no matter how painful, and act on it.

Second – while our company has had mandatory online training for all employees on sexual harassment and other workplace issues, we need to do better. Therefore in addition to what is already in place, the News Division is launching an immediate effort to implement in-person training on sexual harassment awareness and appropriate behavior in the workplace. We will share more details on this effort very shortly.

And third— we need to keep communicating. In addition to the meetings we've had this week with various show teams and departments, we are encouraging the leaders of every group to have smaller, more informal gatherings to further discuss this crucial issue now and on an ongoing basis.

And, as we have done regularly over the last few months, but cannot do often enough, we want to remind you again that we encourage all employees to speak up and raise any concerns you have about inappropriate conduct you have experienced or observed. We also want to reinforce with our managers and leaders their responsibility to bring forward concerns about inappropriate workplace behavior they see or hear about. It is always the right thing to do, and any concerns raised should be done without fear of retaliation, and with full assurance that they will be investigated.

Here are the multiple avenues available. You can also find these details on the intranet NBCUNow.

Your manager or another news leader
If you have something on your mind your manager often is in the best position to resolve your concern quickly. If you are not comfortable talking to your direct manager you can talk to another news leader.

HR
Reach out to your HR Manager or another member of the news HR team.

Contact an NBCUniversal Resource
If you are not comfortable speaking with someone locally about a concern talk to an NBCUniversal Ombudsperson. Call the NBCUniversal Integrity Helpline US [redacted] or International [redacted]  send an email to [redacted] or contact an NBCUniversal Ombudsperson from the list on the NBCUniversal Integrity Website at [redacted]. Concerns can be raised anonymously.

Contact the Comcast Listens Helpline or visit the Comcast Listens Web Portal
You can call the Comcast Listens Helpline [redacted]  or visit the Web Portal [redacted] to ask a question or raise a concern. The Helpline and Web Portal are both managed by an independent third-party company, which allows you to remain anonymous if you choose.

This has been a very tough week for all of us. Thank you again for your honest feedback. I'll continue to share information and updates with you in the days and weeks ahead.

Andy

[Reality-TV-Fanatics] Matt Lauer’s wife leaves their home amid sex harassment scandal

I wouldn't blame her one bit if she did leave. I am sure he is done with the job he has known to do for many years. maybe he can get a job at Mc Donalds.
I feel sorriest for the children that have to hear things about their father.

Matt Lauer's wife leaves their home amid sex harassment scandal

Page Six 14 hours ago
Matt Lauer's long-suffering wife Annette Roque has fled their home and is rumored to have headed back to her native Netherlands amid his sex harassment scandal.
Multiple sources tell Page Six that Dutch-born former model Annette — Lauer's wife of 20 years — was last seen at their Hamptons home on Wednesday, the day Lauer's firing was announced.
One Hamptons source told Page Six, "Annette has taken their two younger kids out of school and is believed to have left the US and gone to her family in her native country." It is believed her mother lives near Amsterdam.
Amid the scandal, Annette has remained silent. She and Lauer have three children, Romy, 14, son Thijs, 11, and oldest son Jack, who is at a prep school outside Manhattan. It is not known if the kids are with Annette or remained at home with Lauer.
Reps for Lauer have repeatedly declined to comment on the state of his marriage or the whereabouts of his wife.
Annette briefly filed for divorce in 2006, claiming she suffered "cruel and inhumane" treatment from Lauer, who she said in legal documents was controlling and demonstrated "extreme anger and hostility." She withdrew the divorce filing a month later.
Another well-placed source insisted that the reason Annette withdrew her divorce filing is that Lauer offered her a post-nuptial agreement at the time of the filing, offering her up to a rumored $5 million deal to remain in the marriage.
The source said, "Matt needed to stay in the marriage to keep his reputation as America's nicest dad. He is in fact a great, and very doting dad to his kids, but he is also a terrible husband."
A rep for Lauer declined to comment about his wife, and the post-nuptial, as did his high-powered attorney William D. Zabel. Roque's divorce attorney Nancy Chemtob declined to comment
