Ok here is what I have done for groups I won . I have set up an IO group for each one. . However, I will not be deleting the yahoo group and members can stay here and in the IO group if they choose.

This way we can see what happens in a year or when they charge us. I have no groups over 500 and I am not having IO transfer anything .Sorry but I just cant afford it .

It will be like starting from scratch. .

I really don't think it right to increase fees . Sorry but to me its like the Hurricanes and the motels gas stations stores that jack up prices because they know people will need it. .I do understand that yahoo gave short notice but doubling the price? and added if over 500 members?

So anyway - I have then IO groups set up and will give each group the link. You are welcome to join them or you can stay in the Yahoo group or you can do both . Questions please ask. ]

-- Here is the notification in full...cross-posted from the beta group.

Like everyone, we were taken by surprise when Yahoo announced they will be shutting down Yahoo Groups in just a few short weeks. Groups.io runs a world-class email groups service and has quickly been recognized as the best migration option for Yahoo Groups users. We are flattered by this recognition, and have been overwhelmed with traffic and group transfer requests as a result. We have spent the days since Yahoo's announcement diligently adding new server capacity and starting to work through an unprecedented number of transfer requests.

Fortunately, Groups.io has always been built to scale and already has a user base in excess of 1 million users today. In order to accommodate this major growth phase while maintaining our excellent service levels and industry-leading functionality, we will need to adjust our pricing as follows. As of 9AM Pacific Time, October 22:

1.The annual fee for premium groups is $20/month or $220/year. (Premium groups in existence before that date are grandfathered in at their current fee...)

2.As is already the case, all transferred groups are required to be premium groups for the first year. The $220 transfer fee counts for the premium fee, so once having paid the transfer fee, transferred groups are exempt from paying the premium fee for the first year.

3.All new basic (non-premium) groups are required to be premium groups if they have, or acquire, more than 500 members or more than 3 subgroups. (Basic groups in existence before October 22 at 9AM remain unlimited for now; however, next year we will be looking at readjusting our pricing structure and moving away from a flat rate fee and towards a more equitable per-member cost. We will keep you posted about all of this as we work through the process.)

As you know, Yahoo has given us incredibly short deadlines. New content cannot be uploaded to Yahoo Groups after October 28 and all user generated content will be deleted from Yahoo Groups on December 14. To ensure that we have enough time to export all data off of Yahoo, we have set a deadline of midnight, December 1 Pacific Time for all new transfer requests to be received. Assuming that Yahoo doesn't have any server issues, we believe that we'll be able to export all data out of Yahoo before they delete all the data. However, in order to maintain a high level of service to our existing customers, we cannot import groups into our service as fast as we can export them out of Yahoo. There may be some delay before we can import all groups. If you wish to have your transfer prioritized, the group transfer page allows you to pay an additional one-time fee of $200 (this will go live at 9AM Pacific Time, October 22).

We welcome the opportunity to elevate the groups email experience for Yahoo users. We are committed to making the migration process as seamless as possible. Thank you for choosing Groups.io.

Thanks, Mark

Tonight on NBC's Emmy Award-winning musical competition The Voice airs with an all-new Monday, October 21, 2019, season 17 episode 8 and we have your The Voice recap right below. On tonight's The Voice season 17 episode 8, called, "The Battles, Part 3," as per the NBC synopsis, "The Battle Rounds continue as the coaches enlist Normani (Team Kelly), Darius Rucker (Team Blake), Usher (Team Legend) and will.i.am (Team Gwen) to prepare their artists to go head-to-head in the hopes of advancing to the Knockout Rounds."

So make sure to bookmark this spot and come back for our The Voice recap between 8 PM – 10 PM ET! While you wait for the recap make sure to check out all our The Voice spoilers, news, videos, recaps & more, right here!

Tonight's The Voice recap begins now – Refresh Page often to get the most current updates!

Its time for the Battles! Up first was John Legend's team and he brought in Usher to assist with his vocalists. Jared Herzog vs. Will Breman was the first battle. They both had the same vibe with soulful pop. They also each needed some work and so the coaches had their hands full. They thought Jared could push his voice further while Will was sort of holding himself back artistically. John said he was lacking his usual spark.

The one John heard at the Blinds. He wanted Will to let go and Jared to amp it up. He and Usher worked with these two until they brought out the beach in each of them, but there could only be one winner. They sang "Treat You Better" together and all the judges could talk about was Will. He hit the right note with this song. John naturally chose Will as the winner of this battle and sadly no one chose to steal Jared. Which made tonight his last night.

Next was Team Blake. He brought in Darius Rucker as his guest coach and together they worked on his team. It was first Marina Chello vs Ricky Duran. They were both very strong vocalists. They were the powerhouses on Blake's team and that's' why he paired them together. He wanted to see who would come out on top. He also knew that the song "Valerie" would be perfect for both of their voices.

In practice, they were great with the song. It was a whole other story once they hit the stage because by then they had given a full concert. The audience loved and it went the same with the judges. Everyone also said that it was a tough battle. They had loved them both and so the judges were split on who to save. They gave Blake no help. He had to make this choice on his own and he ultimately saw more in Ricky.

But then he tried to use his Save on Marina. He wanted to keep them both and Kelly offered him a fight. She wanted Marina for her team. She was willing to use her Steal to get Marina and so it was like the Blinds all over again. Marina had to decide who she was going with. She thought about it and there really wasn't a choice. Marina wanted to stick it out with Blake. He believed in her from the beginning and loyalty needed to be repaid

Kelly did her chance to shine however when her team went next. She brought in Normani to help
with her vocalists. Especially Jake Hoot and Steve Knill. Theirs was the country battle and they both had very different if not distinctive voices. One was an old-time country and the other was a more modern version of it. They sang "Always On My Mind" together and it had been one of the best renditions of this song.

The judges were in agreement on this one. They liked Steve and they loved Jake. Blake said that Jake had the right amount of nasally to his tone and the other judges all felt the same. They all thought Jake was the true start of this performance. Kelly didn't even differ. She preferred Jake and she picked him as the winner of this battle. And that doesn't mean this wasn't a tough choice because it was.

Kelly hated it when she had to eliminate people. Making the Battles one of the toughest parts of this coemption for her. She had to make a choice between Brennan Lassiter and Grace Shriver. Then she had to choose in the Damali vs. Brooke Stephenson battle and again that was hard. She didn't like what she had to do. If she could have taken everyone, she would have and she wouldn't even be apologetic about it.

Kelly also wasn't alone in trying to save everyone. The other judges struggled with the same choice and Gwen found particularly hard when it came to Royce Lovett and Kiara Brown. Luckily, she had Will.I.AM there for support. He saw the right problem right from the start and together they worked on Kiara finding her voice. She was being super polite and that song needed more than that. It needed her to demand attention.

The son was "Turn Your Lights Down Low" by Bob Marley. Both of the vocalists shared the same energy with the late great Marley, but Kiara was so afraid to shine that she held herself back. Gwen and Will.I.Am had to push and push until they got Kiara to where she needed to be. She was better by the next practice session and she was on fire for the real thing.. Kelly preferred her to Royce while Blake preferred Royce to Kiara.

It was a neck and neck race. The one thing they all said, though, was that Kiara surprised them because she came out onstage with something to prove. They could all hear as well as feel it with Kiara. She was desperately fighting her corner and she could have won. Only Gwen remembered how much it took Kiara to get there and that's probably why she went with Royce. Royce could tap into his onstage persona like no one's business and he was going to need that with their next stage.

Thankfully, Kiara was still in demand. Kelly wanted to use her STEAL to get Kiara on her team because she said that Kiara was much better tonight than at her Blinds and yet Gwen wanted to use her Save. She wanted to keep Kiara with her. She also said that she wasn't originally going to use her Save just then and that she sorta had to after everything they'd been through. And so Kiara ended up going with Kelly because she wanted Gwen to keep her Save for her original choice.

Matthew McQueen and Joana Martinez were the next battles. They were from Team Blake and both were shocked to see Darius Rucker. They practically worshipped him. He was such a huge force in the music industry that they took in everything he said. He told Joana she was losing control and so both Darius and Blake suggested that she took in deep breaths. They didn't want her running out steam before it was over.

They also loved Matthew when he got lost in the song. He would get this raspy voice and it would make everyone turned towards him. It also helped that the song brought out the best in both of them. "High Hopes" was a tricky song. They each had to rise to the occasion just to match the song and so Blake made his choice based on potential. He thought Joana had plenty of it. She was fifteen and had an older woman's voice. And so Blake chose her because of it easy.

Gwen's Team went next. She paired off Kyndal Inskeep and James Violet and this pair frustrated Will more than anyone else. The two vocalists had come into practice unprepared. They were still reading their song after having it for two days and that was ridiculous. Artists would often have even less than that and yet they managed to pull off the song. And so why couldn't Kyndall who struggled the most?

Another thing the advisor talked about was stage presence. Kyndal was another shy one who didn't think she should power through the song because it might take away from someone else. So, her coach had to remind her that this was a competition. There wasn't room to play nice and so Kyndal was told to bring out her nasty. She needed to compete if she wanted to win and she did, in fact, try to be what the coaches wanted her to be. She and James performed "I Could Use A Love Song" and they were both great with this song.

Gwen had loved Kyndal because there was no one else like her and so she picked her as the winner of the battle, but she wanted to use her Save on James and she was up against John who wanted to use his Steal for James.

And so James is going to make his choice tomorrow night!

THE END!

Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber dancing the Quickstep to "Take On Me," by A-ha.

Judges Comments: Len: "First out, first class. I liked it very much, I liked your frame and your left hand. I love this season that the dances are longer. There were little foot faults, but overall it was full of energy." Bruno: "That was so bright, very enthusiastic and fast.. You lost synchronicity because of the speed, but the body contact was good. Very strong as a performance." Carrie Ann: "I agree with Bruno, I love the concept and it was very challenging. You have excelled and I see you growing and the body contact was gorgeous."

Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 8, Len 9, Bruno 8 = 25, the total for 2 weeks is 52 out of 60.

Kate Flannery and Pasha Pashkov dancing the Viennese waltz to "I Have Nothing," by Whitney Houston.

Judges Comments: Bruno: "I love what you did with that. It was assertive and romantic, in the best possible taste. It worked wonders, really good." Carrie Ann: "I am speechless. Your hard work paid off in spades. It was so victorious." Len: "I am really happy. There is a step in the Vienesse waltz that I never see and you did it. I proud of you, it was great. An absolutely great performance."

Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 9, Len: 9, Bruno: 9 = 27, the total for 2 weeks is 51 out of 60.

Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson dancing the Quickstep to "Part-time Lover," by Stevie Wonder.

Judges Comments: Carrie Ann: "You guys are so in sync when you dance. You had one tiny mess up with your feet, but that was ridiculously amazing." Len: "I thought the routine was terrific. However, there was a major incident. Apart from that, I thought you did an amazing job." Bruno: "You are a full-time dancer. Apart from that little misunderstanding, it was light, fast-paced, it was excellent work regardless."

Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 9, Len 8, Bruno 9 = 26, the total for 2 weeks is 52 out of 60.

Karamo Brown and Jenna Johnson dancing Contemporary to "Someone You Loved," by Lewis Capaldi.

Judges Comments: Len: "If I could sum that dance up with one word, it was fluid. The lifts were great. This has light and shade, fast and slow, I thought it was a really well-constructed dance." Bruno: "You really were focused and had intention. There was no self-doubt, there was a wonderful balance of strength and fluidity." Carrie Ann: "When you danced I could just feel your love and your passion, you didn't miss one step."

Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 9, Len 8, Bruno 8 = 25, the total for 2 weeks is 46 out of 60.

Hannah Brown and Alan Bernstein dancing the Samba to "Southbound," by Carrie Underwood.

Judges Comments: Bruno: "Brazil to Nashville, what a party. You did it, but at times, you lose your natural bounce, not quite on the rhythm. Very good." Carrie Ann: "You are a phenomenal dancer, but I agree with Bruno, you were ahead of the beat. I appreciate that you went for it, you are still a fantastic dancer." Len: "That was not an easy routine, but you coped very well. Well done, I like the flair, get more pressure in your feet that will give you more hip action."

Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 8, Len 8, Bruno 8 = 24/30, the total for 2 weeks is 49 out of 60.

Sailor Brinkley-Cook and Valentin Chmerkovskiy dancing the Jive to "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go," by Wham.

Judges Comments: Carrie Ann: "That was amazing, to be animated is your thing. I had a blast watching you do the jive." Len: "Well I don't need waking up, that was decaffeinated, it was full of flavor. Val seems to be really enjoying himself." Bruno: "Look at you, it was a great jive, you were the star and knew what you were doing."

Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 9, Len 9, Bruno 9 = 27/30, the total for 2 weeks is 51 out of 60.

Sean Spicer and Lindsay Arnold dancing the Viennese waltz by "Somebody to Love," by Queen.

Judges Comments: Len: "I admire your tenacity and hard work. Dancing doesn't come easy for you but you come out every week and you give it your all and for that, I respect you." Bruno: "The smartest you ever looked, almost regal. It was a difficult dance, but you looked like tumbleweed. You tried to do it all." Carrie Ann: "There was really a nice tenderness to how you were dancing, I could tell by how you were holding each other. You were keeping your feet from out of you.."

Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 7, Len 7, Bruno 7 = 21/30, the total for 2 weeks is 40 out of 60.

James Van Der Beek and Emma Slater dancing the Samba to "Light It Up," by Major Lazer feat. Nyla & Fuse ODG.

Judges Comments: Bruno: "You had a hip chain reaction, from the legs through the body, in every direction, very loose and rhythmic." Carrie Ann: "The whole thing was ridiculous. Sometimes you do the movement so good that it can get proportioned outside of your body." Len: "Tutty fruity, what a booty! Your bump was out of control, it was a really really good samba."

Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 9, Len 9, Bruno 9 = 27/30, the total for 2 weeks is 53/60.

Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko dancing Contemporary to "The Other Side," by Lauren Alaina.

Judges Comments: Carrie Ann: "You are a brave woman to dance that song, thank you – you have touched all of our hearts. It was like angels all around you dancing. Hold your head high, you should be proud of what you did." Len: "Such a brave thing to do, to dance with such performance that is worthy of your stepfather, and Gleb. Well done." Bruno: "It is very sad, but it makes me happy to see so much love and honesty, always keep it with you."

Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 9, Len 8, Bruno 9 = 26/30, the total for 2 weeks is 49/60.

The judges scored have been combined for two weeks. The first couple who is safe is Lauren and Gleb. Also safe are Karamo and Jenna. Joining them next week are Kate and Pasha. Also coming back are Val and Witney. The next safe couple is James and Emma. Also safe are Sean and Lindsay. In no particular order, the last safe couple is Hannah and Alan.

Carrie Ann saves Ally and Sasha, Bruno saves Ally and Sasha.

DWTS: Lauren Alaina Dances to Own Song in Memory of Step Dad

10/22/2019 mj santilli Music

Lauren Alaina hinted over the past week that Monday's (Oct 21) dance on ABC's Dancing With the Stars would be an emotional one for her.. She posted on her socials that she would be dedicating her appearance to her stepdad, Sam Ramker, who passed away one year ago today.

"He was always my champion. Now he's my guardian angel," said the American Idol season 10 alum. "I can't believe my stepdad has been gone a year today. This is an extremely hard day for my family, but I know Sam is with us and is so proud of us all. I am dancing for you tonight. We miss you. See you on The Other Side."

Lauren performed an emotional contemporary routine with her pro dancing partner Gleb Savchenko to her own song, "The Other Side." In her pre-performance video package, Lauren and Gleb sat down to talk about the anniversary and how "The Other Side" came to be.

"He made my mom so happy, he changed my mom's life," Lauren explained. "I wrote 'The Other Side' in Sam's memory. I wanted to create a song that did him justice."  Lauren's family found out he had cancer in April and he died in October. Sam was only 47 years old. "It destroyed me," Lauren said of the effect her step-father's death had on her life.

By Lauren's side, was Lauren's who, who flew out to Los Angeles to lend support. "The song brought so much healing to me," her mom said in the clip.  On the last day of Sam's life, Lauren shares, "He opened his eyes, and it was like all of the pain in his body left. He was looking up at the ceiling in awe and he described heaven…that's what I wrote 'The Other Side' about."

After Lauren's performance, judge Carrie Ann Inaba called her a "brave woman." Fellow judge, Len Goodman, agreed. "It's a performance that's worthy of your stepfather and yourself." Lauren was so emotional, she could barely talk as the judges delivered her scores–a total of 26 points out of 30.
