[Reality-TV-Fanatics] Young and the Restless’ Back to Work Date Reveal – When New Episodes Return

From what I also understand BB and GH will resume episodes and Days will resume but they are still good on new shows for awhile yet.  I am thinking that if the soaps can do it then maybe we can start getting live reality shows soon

Remember they start date is date they start but it wont be the first date we get to view new shows. They will need to get several shows under their belt to be able to start. I am assuming all new shows probably August? Sept?

https://soapdirt.com/young-and-the-restless-back-work-date-reveal-new-episodes-return/?fbclid=IwAR2reW0ADsavYzy62CE8yF7ca-8uo87Oar53CMd7Q_1F_Y2GdBqN5hz6ZxI

Young and the Restless' Back to Work Date Reveal – When New Episodes Return

Young and the Restless is getting back to filming soon – and we've got the projected date they'll start filming. Also, we'll tell you when we should see new Y&Rs back on the air. That is exciting news as life gets back to normal (sort of) in Hollywood – including the CBS cast return to filming.

When Is Young and the Restless Allowed to Resume Filming?

The first hurdle was for the Governor of California to agree to re-open business. Second is for unions that represent the actors and crew members must agree on a plan. For the past few weeks, Hollywood studios and unions worked on a plan to present to the Governor.

Now, he reviewed and approved it and said movies and TV shows like Young and the Restless could resume filming as early as June 12. But, before they can gear up, they need a COVID-19 compliance officer for every show and movie. And, they need new safety gear on the sets.

That date is only a week away – and Young and the Restless won't be ready to shoot by then. That info comes straight from a behind-the-scenes source that works at CBS daytime. So, even though mid-June is the earliest date to return to work, Y&R won't hit that one, says our leaker.

Y&R LEAK: CBS Soap Contacts Actors to Talk Return to Filming

The source is at the network's daytime operations and said Young and the Restless is already talking to actors about gearing up for a return. The first step for them is to get them tested for COVID-19. And, of course, they need scripts. However, the new rules say not paper scripts.

One of the caveats in the return-to-work plan is that they should eliminate paper scripts, where possible. But, you might know that Young and the Restless actors like to hide scripts around the set to remind them of their lines. There are also sanitizing regiments to implement.

Plus, they need to change up how they'll costume actors and do their hair and makeup. So, Young and the Restless needs a little more time to get things on set ready to meet the safety standards. Now, we can share the date that we're told the CBS soap's coming back to film.

When Will Young and the Restless Start Taping New Episodes – Not 12th of June – But When?

While CA Governor Gavin Newsom said mid-June's the earliest date they can return, that's not when we've heard Y&R starts filming again. Instead, the word we got from the inside source at CBS daytime says it'll likely be on or around June 22, which is a little more than two weeks away.

So, if Young and the Restless hits that projected start date, when will you see a new Y&R on your TV? It takes about four to six weeks to edit and prep the shows to air. But, given that ratings are dropping every day they don't have new shows, they might rush editing to just a few weeks.

Optimistically, you might get a new Young and the Restless episode by late July. But, early to mid-August is a far likelier date for new Y&R episodes to air. So, get ready to enjoy another month (or possibly two) of classic episodes. Then, it's time to get excited about new shows.

[Reality-TV-Fanatics] The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons – Ever! Premiere Recap 06/08/20: Season 1 Episode 1

So how was it?    I am assuming each week? will be a different one? I have no idea

The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons – Ever! Premiere Recap 06/08/20: Season 1 Episode 1

BY DOROTHY GALE ON JUNE 8, 2020 |

Featured: Lesley, with whom Sean broke the Guinness World Record for the longest on-screen kiss; Catherine, with whom he found a genuine and deep connection with; AshLee, who melted his heart with the story of her adoption as a little girl; and Sarah, who found the courage to free fall from the top of a skyscraper."

Chris Harrison invites us to the show, this is one that he has wanted to do for a long time, "The Bachelor, The Greatest Seasons Ever!" Tonight it is Sean Lowe's time to shine, we go back to 2013. A former football player, he is looking forward to settling down and meeting the love of his life.

We start with Sean meeting the 25 women, Chris wishes him good luck. AshLee is the first woman to come out of the limos. Then we see Catherine, Robyn does a backflip and falls, Desiree brings pennies to they can make a wish in the fountain, Lindsay comes out of the limo dressed in a wedding dress, and on and on.

Sarah sits down with Sean and tells him that she wants to spend her life with someone other than a dog. Tierra gets the first impression rose. Ashley P. starts booty dancing, she is coming on a little too strong. She brought a tie, and Sean brought a rape whistle. Sean sense Ashley P. and in her parting speech she lifts up her dress and says Sean missed out on her Barbie butt.

Lesley caught Sean's eye right from the beginning. Sean asks her for the real reason why she is there, she says for love, she is hopeful. He says he is hopeful as well. Every time he tries to kiss her, she changes the subject and talks about something mundane like the weather. She is a traditional southern girl, and she will not make the first move.

Chris surprises Sean and Lesley that they are going to attempt to get into the Guinness book of world records for the longest kiss. The current record holds at three minutes and 15 seconds. Chris counts down, they kiss. Sean is excited but nervous at the same time. Leslie looks like she is into it more than Sean. Sean says the hardest part is not to laugh because everyone is laughing. Leslie is doing all the work, Sean looks frozen in place. Leslie is on could nine and she doesn't want to stop. They broke the record.

AshLee has her first date with Sean, he clicked with her right away. She immediately wanted a future with him. She tells him that she was adopted at six, and her parents loved her from the day they met her, and she is a very lucky woman. Sean thinks AshLee has one of the biggest hearts and he is crazy about her. Then we see Sean take Sarah on a date, she was born with one arm and it is a big life challenge, but it doesn't define her. She was actually chosen to be his first one on one date, they free-fell 300 feet together.

When they hit the ground, Sean's hands were trembling and he appreciated that Sarah was up for it. She tells him that she was turned down in the past for zip lining because of her disability and she is glad that he had the confidence in her to invite her on this type of date. That night was a fairy tale for Sarah, and Chris really thought she would be the one. Weeks later, Sean sent her home, but she became one of the most beloved members of the Bachelor family. Joining Chris from Denver is Sarah. Once she went on the show, she felt at least she wouldn't be hiding her disability anymore, and it changed her life for the better. She is friends with Claire, the new Bachelorette and she is really excited for her. Sarah has been with Dylan for three years, they are very happy together. Chris tells her that he is honored to call her a friend.

Tierra had an instant connection with Sean, but she never got along with the other women. Sean had sparks, he looks into her eyes and realizes that he really likes her. Tierra went on the show to win this, not to make friends and she was not going to let any of the women stop her. At one point she went to Sean and told him that living with the women was torture. The woman finds that she is one way with them and another way with Sean, a great manipulator. Tierra goes too far as falling down the stairs and hitting her head, the women think it is an act.

The women hope that for Sean's sake that he sees her for what she is. The women were so thrown off by her, they never knew when Tierra was faking. Some of the women and Sean go kayaking, then they do the polar bear plunge. They all get their bathing suits on and along with Sean's head in the freezing water. Tierra has an episode, she is doubling over and barely responsive. She claims that she had hyperthermia. The rest of the women are fine, they loved the experience.

Tierra has a meltdown with the girls and Sean tells her that perhaps she should go home now because this is too hard on her. It finally clicked for Sean that Tierra is not the one for him. Chris reached out to Tierra to be on the show tonight and she declined, but Ashley accepted.

Chris is down to his final four, he is sitting with Desiree, from the very beginning there was a spark with her. Sean was really excited to meet Desiree's family. Her brother Nate, asks Sean to go speak together. Nate tells Sean outright that he doesn't look like he is into his sister. Nate tells him that he looks like a Playboy. Sean keeps cool, but he wants to tell Nate off. In the end, Sean sends Desiree home after the home dates.

He tells her he was battling this all day long. He tells her he is going to miss her a lot, she asks him why he is letting her go. Desiree is heartbroken. But in the end, Desiree was on The Bachelorette and she found love. Desiree is on the show tonight, airing from home. She tells Chris that she was mortified, she knew her brother was opinionated. Her husband, Chris is there, they have children now and are very happy living in Portland. He says his brother-in-law reminds him often how odd it is that they met on the Bachelorette.

Now we check in on Pilot Pete, he ended his engagement with Hannah Ann in the hopes that it would work out with Madison, but that relationship went up in flames. Peter is on video from home, he is really good and very happy, hopeful for the future. Kelly is there, a very familiar face. Peter says he is very happy, and when these things finally end, they both are thinking of living in New York City, which has always been a dream of theirs. Chris asks what Barb thinks, she comes on camera and says she agrees with the two together, Kelly is the daughter that she never had.

Back to Sean and his search for love and the final two women, Lindsay and Catherine. We take a look back at Catherine's journey with Sean. Their first kiss was perfect, she is looking for a good passionate man. They go 10,000 feet above sea level together to climb a glacier. Then they sit on the beach and she tells him that if she gets a home town date, her dad probably won't be there because he suffers from depression. She says she felt she needed to tell him so he wouldn't be surprised. The spark between the two of them is undeniable. The two are on another date, they are on a boat, she tells him that she has never been so open or vulnerable with anyone else in the past. He says he thinks they complement each other. He asks her where would she see them in five years, she says married, maybe one child, and be happy. Sean feels that Catherine is like his best friend.

Catherine wasn't the only woman in love with Sean. Next, we see Lindsay's journey with Sean. The girl stepped out in night one in a wedding dress and managed to capture Sean's heart. Sean was blown away by her, he really liked her and wanted to see where the relationship should go. Lindsay feels like she has known Sean forever. She was definitely into Sean and thought he would make a wonderful father. Lindsay fell in love with Sean and told him how she felt before the final rose.

Sean was really torn, he knows he had two women who fell in love with him. Sean is dreading breaking one of their hearts. The first girl to meet Sean on the platform is Lindsay and she is confident that today is the day that she gets engaged. She can't even wrap her head with the thought that she could lose Sean. He holds her hands and tells her that she has been such a surprise and he didn't see their relationship coming. Then, with tears in his eyes, he tells her this is the toughest thing he has ever done. He wants to give her his heart, but it is beating somewhere else. She lets his hands go.

He says he finally has gotten clarity and he has to say goodbye to her. He tells her that he loves her and he is sorry. She asks him to stop and tells him it is ok. Then she asks him if it was her, he says no. She tells him that she is going to go, it is painful and her nightmare. She tells him that she is happy for him, that he found love, but she honestly cannot imagine her life without him and that is something she is going to have to figure out. They hug, and he walks her out. He hugs her again, tells her how much she means to him and that he was blessed to get to know her. She tells him good luck, Sean is still crying.

In the limo, Lindsay is crying and asking why.

Chris checks in on Lindsay, at her home in California. She says she is doing good, and it has been so long. Chris tells her that her breakup was one of the toughest on the show.. Lindsay says that she really thought that she was going to be proposed to.. She says she is thankful that she lost to Catherine. She says that when they finally stopped filming, it was a shock that people recognized her. Her husband Carl is there with her, and they have two boys. They are both working from home, and are very busy.

Sean is at the alter, Chris walks up to him and gives him a letter from Catherine. The letter is heartfelt and basically sums up the fact that she believes she is getting a proposal and spending the rest of her life with Sean. Catherine is with Sean, he tells her that from the beginning, she was someone that he wanted to be around. And, he doesn't want to say goodbye anymore, he wants to spend the rest of his life telling her that he loves her and making her feel like the most special woman in the world. He gets down on one knee and proposes to her, she accepts and he puts a huge diamond on her finger. She is trembling and asks him if it is for real. She tells him that she is so addicted to him. He says one last thing, will she accept his final rose, she says yes.

Catherine and Sean join Chris from their home in Texas. Sean says he knew early on that he was falling in love with Catherine. It has now been seven years, they have three children. Sean says they do a lot of laughing and Catherine loves a lot. The three children are all under four years old. The two head upstairs to get the children. Sam appears in front of the screen and says hi to Mr. Chris. Isaiah says hi, and then there is Mia, she is adorable. Chris tells them that they are a beautiful family. Chris tells them that Jade and Tanner are having their third. He asks Catherine and Sean if they will go for a fourth and they laugh.

THE END!

[Reality-TV-Fanatics] Songland 2020 Episode 9 Recap Featuring Ben Platt (VIDEO)

Songland 2020 Episode 9 Recap Featuring Ben Platt (VIDEO)

06/08/2020 mj santilli

Songland season 2 penultimate episode airs tonight on NBC featuring Broadway and movie star Ben Platt. In the episode, songwriters will pitch their compositions to the the guest artist and the panel. Afterward, songwriter/producers Ryan TedderShane McAnally and Ester Dean and the songwriters produce a version of the song to be presented to the guest artist. They choose one song to record and release.

Everything you need to know about tonight's episode featuring Ben Platt:

Ben Platt is a "triple threat" artist-daner, singer and actor. He starred in the original production of Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway, and also appeared in the film Pitch Perfect. He's one Oscar away from an Egot at only 26. Ben is leaning away from Broadway to a more pop sound.

The Artists Pitch their Songs

David Davis – Everything it Took to Get to You – He's the only non athlete in his family. His dad played football in the NFL. The song is about how all the hardships to make a relationship work were worth it. It's a very pretty song, but a little boring. Ryan compliments the lyrics, but critiques the melody.  The group work to flesh out the story, to make the payoff even more poignant.

Kylie Rothfield – Lonely –  Berklee graduate Kylie Rothfield competed on The Voice season 11 as a member of Team Alicia Keys. She was eliminated in the playoffs with a rendition of the Rolling Stones "Satisfaction." The song is about being lonely in a big city. The song has a bit of a 60s retro feel, yet it feels very contemporary. Interesting. Ben is looking for something "vibier." Ryan is looking for less production, though. Shane thinks there are too many questions. They decide to make it a multi-city song. Kylie leaves the room and becomes very emotional. I hope they don't ruin the song.
Caroline Kole – She began traveling to Nashville at age 10. Her family eventually moved their for her career. Eventually, Caroline toured with Reba McEntire and opened for artists such as Blakc Shelton, Eric Church and Martina McBride. The song has a very catchy chorus. Her song is about chasing dreams. But Ben wants to make it a relationship song. Shane wants to add a line about chasing rainbows, which sounds like a cliche, his success with Kacey Musgraves notwithstanding. Ryan thinks some of the melody is "too Broadway." I'm not hearing it.
Anna Hamilton – Deathbed –  Anna is from Kansas, and so is Ben's mom! She is a national water ski competitor and one of 11 siblings. The group seems put off by the title alone. She's got a good voice. Ben calls it "interesting" but is really turned off by "death." Ryan says "you can't land on deathbed." They change the last "deathbed" to "love left." I think this song is toast. She admits that the song is "a little aggressive."

Ben Platt makes his choice

David DavisKylie Rothfield and Caroline Kole move on to the next round. And unsurprisingly, Anna Hamilton is eliminated. It was clear the group wasn't vibing on her dark and maudlin song.

Producer sessions

Ester Dean produces Kylie Rothfield – Ben is looking for classic R&B and tweak the lyrics to make them relationship specific. Ester wants more build to the chorus.

Shane McAnally produces Caroline Kole – Ben really wants the RAINBOW. Shane wants to flesh out the lyrics. The melody needs less work–Shane is determined to preserve it. Caroline wants to build space for Ben's "crazy range."

Ryan Tedder produces David Davis – Ryan feels the lyrics need work, to be made more specific. Ryan wants a choir, of course. David appreciates Ryan simplifying the song, to make it more effective.

The Artists present their newly produced songs

Kylie Rothfield – Ghosts – The name change reflects the more romance specific lyrics. There is also a new bridge. The new version is very pretty and probably more suitable for Ben. But the 60's girl group vibe is completely gone. Oh well. There are some additional big notes that Ben would undoubtedly kill. His phrasing and range are steller. Ben calls the song "beautiful and haunting." He calls Kylie special.. I've rarely seen the room so moved.
David Davis – Everything it Took to Get to You – That song name is so long! The song hasn't changed much, actually. But with the gospel choir and a heightened chorus, the song lands with more impact. Ben loves the lyric changes. "The story is so clear to me now."
Caroline Kole – Fools Gold – The lyrics have changed quite a bit. They re-wrote it from top to bottom. But as Shane promised, the melody is intact. Which is a good thing. It's beautiful. Ben relates very much to the new lyrics.

RESULTS

David, Kylie and Caroline return to the studio to hear the results. Ben explains that he sang each song before making his decision. Ben chooses…Everything it Took to Get to You by David Davis. Huh. I thought he'd pick Kylie's song. He seemed so enamored. Ben compliments Ryan, "He brought the song to the finish line."  He says, "It just felt like a song I've known for a long time."

Ben Platt "Everything it Took to Get to You" written by David Davis
