'Dancing with the Stars' Recap: The Final 4 Perform Their Freestyles

Senior Writer, BuddyTV

We've reached the finals of Dancing with the Stars season 25. Four couples remain and will perform their Freestyles and Redemption Dances, but only three will move on to the last night of competition with a chance to win the Mirror Ball Trophy.

There's Jordan Fisher , the clear frontrunner from the first night who's been on top of the leaderboard more than anyone else. Lindsey Stirling has been his closest competition, anchored by the amazing choreography of Mark Ballas . Frankie Muniz was the surprise dark horse, someone whose dedication and positive attitude are infectious. And then there's Drew Scott , who is also in the finals by the grace of God.

Will the Freestyles help to crystallize who will be the winner? And who will go home?

LIVE...from Hollywood...this is my Dancing with the Stars live blog!

Drew Scott and Emma Slater: Paso Doble

Bruno Tonioli wants them to redeem their Action film Paso that was a total mess. He wants better artistry and timing. It's definitely a huge improvement as he's not wild and out of control. He does a great job with the shaping, though it doesn't quite have enough attitude for me. Still, it's much better than anything else he's done. The judges call it his best dance, but there was a small foot fault.

Judges' Scores: 9+9+9+9=36

He has still yet to get a 10.

Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson: Foxtrot

Carrie Ann Inaba wants them to redo their very first dance, with a solo to test Frankie's confidence. It's a cute and charming performance that captures their adorable debonair style. He's still not on par with Jordan or Lindsey, technically, but he's a delightful joy to watch. The judges love his essence and Julianne Hough praises his transformation into a manly man.

Judges' Scores: 10+9+10+9=38

The female judges love Frankie.

Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold: Charleston

Len Goodman wants them to redo their Guilty Pleasures dance that got 9s from the other two judges, but a 7 from Len. Len wants them to do more traditional Charleston moves. Hot damn, this routine had everything. Fast footwork, tons of bounce and smooth, sexy swagger. He's definitely bringing his best for the finale. The judges rave about how amazing it was, as they should.

Judges' Scores: 10+10+10+10=40

Jordan has now joined Nick Carter as the only male stars to earn six perfect scores in a single season.

Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas: Quickstep

Julianne Hough wants them to redo their style from Ballroom Night in week 2, their only routine to get less than an 8 from Len all season long. The routine is inspired by Swing music and it's fine, but it doesn't quite have the same distinctive personality as the other dances we've seen. The dancing was very good, technically, but I wanted to see more of who Lindsey is. The judges love her control and speed, with Len calling it "awesome."

Judges' Scores: 10+10+10+10=40

I'm pretty sure Mark thanked the judges for the 10s before the scores were actually revealed. That was weird.

Drew and Emma's Freestyle

Emma wants to do something different and celebrate Drew's quirkiness and his journey. Neither one of them can believe that they're in the finals, and Emma wants a second Mirror Ball to make them kiss and force Sasha Farber to walk by them every day. It's a big group Swing dance with a lot of troupe members to hide Drew's lack of dance ability. There's a very funny moment where they stop in the middle for a break. It's kind of fun, but his dancing isn't great, even if the routine itself kind of points that out. There are also some ugly lifts. The judges love the entertainment, but Carrie Ann points out that he wasn't in sync with the big group.

Judges' Scores: 9+10+10+0=39

Over the past six seasons, Drew joins Jana Kramer as the only star who failed to get a perfect score for his Freestyle. But at least he finally got some 10s.

Frankie and Witney's Freestyle

She originally wanted to do something powerful, but the producers urged her to embrace Frankie's fun side. She stuck with her gut and ignored the producers. Good for her. It's an intense, Paso-inspired routine that is very strong. I get the producers' concerns because it's a different, darker side of him, but it works. He has the power and it embraces the manly side of him, not the boyish fun. The judges appreciate that it was out of the box and very dramatic and moody, though Carrie Ann says he lost some steam.

Judges' Scores: 9+9+10+10=38

Wow, another non-perfect Freestyle. But this routine and Frankie's story stands out and it might be enough to push him to the win. Viewers may not like the idea that the producers were trying to tell them what to do.

Jordan and Lindsay's Freestyle

Lindsay knows that Jordan is her best partner, so she wants to put everything into it with flips, tricks, stunts and lighting cues. The routine is certainly jam-packed with content and there are a lot of solos for Jordan to show off his moves. This Freestyle truly is a celebration of Jordan's immense talent and Lindsay really put the spotlight on him. The judges are in awe of what he can do.

Judges' Scores: 10+10+10+10=40

That makes seven perfect scores for him, just one away from the all-time record of eight held by Bindi Irwin and Laurie Hernandez .

Lindsey and Mark's Freestyle

They are playing conductors of an orchestra with a quirky spin, showing off her love of music. The routine is powerful and intense, a better version of what Frankie and Witney were going for. There's a brilliant segment where she plays the violin while dancing, even while being lifted. This is hands-down the Freestyle of the Night! If this round really does decide everything, she could've just won.

Judges' Scores: 10+10+10+10=40

A well-deserved perfect score.

THE RESULTS

Only three will move on to the last night of the competition, getting the chance to perform two more routines for more points, more votes and the Mirror Ball Trophy.

The first couple IN THE FINALS is...Jordan and Lindsay!
The second couple IN THE FINALS is...Lindsey and Mark!
The third couple IN THE FINALS is...Frankie and Witney!

Drew Scott and Emma Slater ARE ELIMINATED!

That's the correct decision. They were fine, but making it this far is amazing for them. And now we're heading into a finale where I genuinely believe anyone can win. Seriously, all three of them have an excellent case for victory.

THE LEADERBOARD

80: Jordan Fisher , Lindsey Stirling
76: Frankie Muniz

[Reality_And_Drama_TV_Shows] CBS News fires Charlie Rose following sexual misconduct allegations

Wow yesterday he was just suspended and today fired. .  My only concern about all of this. What if , he is not guilty?  Not just him but any of them that have these allegations?
Most is probably true but I just question the rush to judgment  and firing them . Odd that CBS  and others will fire but those in the senate don't have to step down?

CBS News fires Charlie Rose following sexual misconduct allegations

CBS News has fired "CBS This Morning" co-anchor Charlie Rose after the veteran journalist was accused of sexual harassment by several women.
"A short time ago we terminated Charlie Rose's employment with CBS News, effective immediately," CBS News executives emailed staffers Tuesday in a memo obtained by Fox News.
On Monday, a bombshell report by the Washington Post accused Rose, 75, of making unwanted sexual advances toward at least eight women.
When asked by TMZ Monday night if he would like to comment on the women who have accused him of "wrongdoings," Rose simply replied, "It's not wrongdoings."
CBS News President David Rhodes continued his email to staffers:
"A short time ago we terminated Charlie Rose's employment with CBS News, effective immediately. This followed the revelation yesterday of extremely disturbing and intolerable behavior said to have revolved around his PBS program.
"Despite Charlie's important journalistic contribution to our news division, there is absolutely nothing more important, in this or any organization, than ensuring a safe, professional workplace—a supportive environment where people feel they can do their best work.  We need to be such a place.
"I've often heard that things used to be different. And no one may be able to correct the past. But what may once have been accepted should not ever have been acceptable.
"CBS News has reported on extraordinary revelations at other media companies this year and last. Our credibility in that reporting requires credibility managing basic standards of behavior. That is why we have taken these actions.
"Let's please remember our obligations to each other as colleagues. We will have human resources support today and every day, and we are organizing more personal and direct training which you will hear about from senior management shortly.
I'm deeply disappointed and angry that people were victimized—and that even people not connected with these events could see their hard work undermined. If all of us commit to the best behavior and the best work – that is what we can be known for."
"CBS This Morning" has been growing rapidly since it launched in 2012, but still struggles to match the viewership of rivals "Today" and "Good Morning America," while Rose's show on PBS has aired regularly since 1991.
The morning show — normally hosted by Rose, Norah O'Donnell and Gayle King — was down to the two women on Tuesday and the accusations against their colleague was their lead story.
"This has to end," said O'Donnell.
King said she considered Rose a friend and held him in high regard, but was struggling because "what do you say when someone that you deeply care about has done something so horrible?
How do you wrap your brain around that?" she said. "I'm really grappling with that. That said, Charlie does not get a pass here. He doesn't get a pass from anyone in this room."
She said that while the story described a Rose she did not know, "I'm also clearly on the side of the women who have been very hurt and damaged by this."
Rose's PBS show is filmed at the Bloomberg LP headquarters, making three major media organizations tied up in the latest harassment scandal with CBS the first to cut ties altogether.
"PBS was shocked to learn today of these deeply disturbing allegations. We are immediately suspending distribution of 'Charlie Rose,'" PBS said in a statement.
Bloomberg said it was "immediately suspending the show" after PBS issued the statement.
Rose's accusers were between 21 and 37 years old at the time of the alleged encounters and the Post noted that there are "striking commonalities" in the accounts of the women. His alleged behavior typically included offering jobs to females and then using his power to put them in uncomfortable positions of a sexual nature. He allegedly would offer women a six-figure position that disappeared once they rejected his advances.
"For all of the women, reporters interviewed friends, colleagues or family members who said the women had confided in them about aspects of the incidents. Three of the eight spoke on the record. Five of the women spoke on the condition of anonymity out of fear of Rose's stature in the industry, his power over their careers or what they described as his volatile temper," the Post said in a statement about the bombshell.
None of the women who made accusations against Rose to The Post worked for PBS or CBS.
He has expressed remorse for some of the allegations.
"In my 45 years in journalism, I have prided myself on being an advocate for the careers of the women with whom I have worked," Rose said in a statement provided to The Post. "Nevertheless, in the past few days, claims have been made about my behavior toward some former female colleagues… It is essential that these women know I hear them and that I deeply apologize for my inappropriate behavior. I am greatly embarrassed."
Rose continued: "I have behaved insensitively at times, and I accept responsibility for that, though I do not believe that all of these allegations are accurate. I always felt that I was pursuing shared feelings, even though I now realize I was mistaken."
Powerful and influential men have been facing allegations of sexual misconduct on a regular basis since disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein was outed as a sexual predator with a pair of bombshell reports in The New York Times and New Yorker earlier this year. High-profile media members such as Glenn Thrush and Mark Halperin have joined celebrities such as Kevin Spacey, Louis C.K. and a handful of politicians accused of sexual misconduct in recent weeks.
Ironically, Rose once appeared as himself on an episode of the Netflix series "House of Cards," which has been rocked by the accusations against Spacey.
According to the report by Post contributor Irin Carmon and investigative reporter Amy Brittain, one accuser, Reah Bravo, was an intern and then associate producer for Rose's PBS show beginning in 2007. In various interviews, she detailed unwanted sexual advances from Rose.
"It has taken 10 years and a fierce moment of cultural reckoning for me to understand these moments for what they were," she told The Post. "He was a sexual predator, and I was his victim."
Another accuser, Kyle Godfrey-Ryan, was Rose's former assistant and detailed "at least a dozen instances where Rose walked nude in front of her while she worked in one of his New York City homes." She claims the CBS and PBS star also "repeatedly called" her "at night or early in the morning to describe his fantasies of her swimming naked."
Megan Creydt worked as a coordinator on the show from 2005 to 2006 and was a colleague of Godfrey-Ryan. She told the Post that Rose "put his hand on my mid-thigh" and understands that other claims are more serious but she was willing to speak to the paper to "support other women who were coming forward."
The 75-year-old was considered a broadcasting legend and has interviewed everyone from Steve Jobs to Barack Obama. Time magazine named Rose one of its 100 most influential people in 2014 and former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg once described him as "one of the most important and influential people in journalism."
More to come…
