[Reality-TV-Fanatics] Bozell Calls on ABC News President to Apologize for Insults to Pence’s Christian Faith on ‘The View’

While this is not against the law I feel that many of these shows like this really go far over the line of decency. I know freedom of speech but sometimes some things just should not be done.

Why does HE have to apologize? The apologies need to come from THE VIEW!  They also need to be told that if they continue down this path they may be replaced. Sounds like if ABC doesn't do something next step may be going tot he advertisers..

Bozell Calls on ABC News President to Apologize for Insults to Pence's Christian Faith on 'The View'

 By Craig Bannister | February 15, 2018 | 10:59 AM EST

Media Research Center (MRC) President Brent Bozell sent a letter to ABC President James Goldston calling on him to apologize for his network insulting Vice President Mike Pence's Christian faith.
The anti-Christian comments by Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin of "The View" are just the latest examples of ABC's constant, on-air mocking of Christians, Bozell notes.
And, if Goldston doesn't issue an "unqualified apology," MRC will call on ABC's advertisers, grassroots supporters, and the nation's millions of Christians to boycott the network's programs.
MRC Pres. Brent Bozell's full letter to ABC News Pres. James Goldston is presented below:
February 15, 2018
Mr. James Goldston
President, ABC News
47 West 66th St.
New York, NY 10023
Dear Mr. Goldston,
I am writing to bring a serious problem to your attention. Yesterday, I issued a statement on Twitter, addressing offensive comments made by Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin of The View regarding Vice President Mike Pence's Christian faith. I referred to comments they made after playing a clip from Celebrity Big Brother. Omarosa Manigault-Newman trashed Pence as an "extreme Christian" who has conversations with Jesus, the panel then took turns taking shots at the Vice President's faith.
Ms. Hostin, who identifies as Catholic, called Pence's Christianity "dangerous": "When you have a Mike Pence who now puts this religious veneer on things and who calls people values voters, I think we're in a dangerous situation. Look I'm Catholic. I'm a faithful person, but I don't know that I want my vice president, um -- speaking in tongues and having Jesus speak to him."
Ms. Behar mocked the Vice President directly, equating his faith to "mental illness": "Like I said before, it's one thing to talk to Jesus. It's another thing when Jesus talks to you," she warned. Hostin agreed: "Exactly. That's different!" Behar responded: "That's called mental illness, if I'm not correct. Hearing voices."
These characterizations of the Vice President's faith are insulting not just to him, but to all Christians. Yet as of the writing of this letter, neither Ms. Hostin, nor Ms. Behar, nor ABC have apologized.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time ABC and The View have insulted Christians. This is a disturbing trend. Here are some examples:
  • On a June 1, 2017, episode of the The View, the entire lineup "blamed" Christians for taking away free contraception, likening Christianity to the Taliban: "You can't hide behind religion to restrict other people's rights!" host Jedediah Bila slammed. "You're almost punishing us for having ovaries," fellow host Sara Haines added. Joy Behar asked, "How is it different from the Taliban?" adding, "Let's not forget they are trying to keep women in their place, barefoot and pregnant."
  • On July 12, 2017, ABCNews.com reported on a Jeff Sessions speech to the Alliance Defending Freedom with the following headline: "Jeff Sessions addresses 'anti-LGBT hate group,' but DOJ won't release his remarks.." The "hate-group" designation for the ADF comes from the highly partisan Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). The shocking thing is that ABC News took that incredible charge from the SPLC for granted, and used it to trash both ADF and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
  • The ABC show Good Christian Bitches, which aired in 2012, portrayed Christians as superficial, carnal, shallow hypocrites. Unfortunately, while the show changed its name to GCB, it never stopped its lewd and offensive caricatures of Christianity.
And there are many more such examples. Ms. Behar and Ms. Hostin are just the latest.
But now you, Mr. Goldston, have the opportunity to right this wrong. Apologize on behalf of ABC. Require Ms. Hostin and Ms.. Behar as individuals to apologize. Bigotry against any group is hateful and ugly. Unfortunately, anti-Christian bigotry seems to be the last acceptable bigotry. A simple unqualified apology will go so far. Our country is so divided right now, why make things worse? By apologizing you have everything to gain and nothing to lose.
Make no mistake, the slurs against the Vice President's faith insult millions of Christians and are unacceptable. If there are no on-air apologies after this deplorable episode, Christians will tune out ABC programming across the board. And we will do our best to encourage it..
If there is no apology, we will contact the advertisers of The View, and ask MRC's millions of grassroots activists to do the same. I am sure the advertisers of The View will be just as appalled as I am about the anti-Christian remarks made on the show. I hope you are able to take the appropriate action before we begin.
I look forward to your reply. Please do not hesitate to call me by COB Friday if you want to discuss.
Sincerely,
L. Brent Bozell III
Founder and President
Media Research Center

The CNN contributor and former CIA analyst was lost for words while speaking with host Wolf Blitzer on the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
"I have 10 nieces and nephews,"Mudd said before his voice broke. "A child of God is dead. Can not we acknowledge in this country that we can't, we cannot accept this?"
"I can't do it, Wolf," he said. "I'm sorry, we can't do it."

Blitzer graciously cut to another guest after telling Mudd he would come back to him.
"You're obviously ― this is so emotional, unfortunately it happens all too often," Blitzer said. "People say we have to learn some lessons. Unfortunately, lessons are never, ever learned."
Police identified the suspect as Nicolas Cruz, who is currently in custody.
As the tragic events unfolded, terrifying footage emerged of children hiding under their desks and barricading themselves inside classrooms.

Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher are not headed for a divorce, despite a completely false tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the supposed marital drama. We're told there's simply no truth to it.
The latest issue of In Touch claims the spouses of seven years are at a "breaking point" over their differing personalities, interests and schedules. But the main issue, according to the unreliable magazine, is Fisher's decision to end his retirement from the NHL after six months and rejoin the Nashville Predators. "She really thought Mike's retirement was going to give them the time they needed to work on making their family stronger," a so-called "source" tells the publication.
The outlet's questionable insider adds, "His decision put a huge strain on their marriage. If Carrie and Mike continue to grow apart, it will surely end in divorce for them." However, this is provably untrue. Fisher told ESPN that it was Underwood who encouraged him to return to the NHL. After it was announced last month that the hockey player would be rejoining the Predators, the singer tweeted, "This is happening! Fish is back! So proud of you, baby! We want the cup!!!"
Still, the publication's supposed source insists that Fisher "isn't always cognizant of Carrie's feelings and needs," and the two have been slowly growing apart over the years. The alleged insider further claims that the dynamic of the couple's relationship changed when they welcomed a baby in 2015. As the story goes, the singer has suggested they seek marriage counseling, but he's nixed the idea.
"[A divorce] will tear Carrie apart because of her faith and the vows she took," says the seemingly phony tipster. "Obviously, it's something that neither of them wants, and the stakes are higher than they were a few years ago because of their son. But more and more, they seem to be going their separate ways, and it could spell doom for their marriage." The highly suspect insider concludes, "They have a lot of work to do if they are going to rediscover what they've lost in each other. And time is running out."
As noted above, Underwood fully supported and even prompted her husband's decision to return to the NHL, so this entire cover story is based on a false premise. Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the couple, who exclusively assures us that the tabloid's account of their marriage is entirely untrue. Underwood and Fisher are going strong, and the claim otherwise is completely unfounded.
