'The Amazing Race' Recap: This Team Will Never Forget Their Passport Again

The Amazing Race is nearing the finish line as the Top 4 become the Top 3 with teams traveling from Zimbabwe to Dubai and Thailand. Who will Phil Keoghan welcome into the final leg? We all have our favorites to win, but it is no doubt a strong competitor will be lost.

For the first time in the history of The Amazing Race, teams will travel to the Kingdom of Bahrain. While waiting on their connecting flight in Dubai, Lucas and Brittany find that they have misplaced their passports. Without these vitals items, obviously, they won't be able to continue the race for lack of being able to travel internationally. Jessica takes the opportunity to make a rude jab, concerning karma, but all jokes aside, this is a pretty serious matter.

Teams Big Brother, Indy Car, Extreme and Yale leave Ocean Rescue in the dust and make their way to the first task of the leg with their own questions on what might happen to their opponent. Little do they know, they haven't left the race just yet. They are hard at work, in Dubai, trying to get an expedited passport sent to them.

During the "Tilting the Scales" task, teams must carry ship building material from one spot to another in order to weigh them. Kristi and Jen lead the way to a market where they will sample a local delicacy, King of Halwa, in exchange for their next clue. Teams Extreme and Indy Car share in the taste testing and move on to the next stop.

Temporary Setback

Lucas is finally given a temporary passport and he and Brittany make their way to the Kingdom of Bahrain in hopes that the teams ahead of them are somehow lost. Oddly enough, they all are. This is still anyone's race!

Here come the really tricky tasks that challenge one's memory. Big Brother is the first to arrive. They pick a small chest that holds small trinkets. Together they must memorize the trinkets and search the hundreds (literally hundreds) of clay pots that adorn the streets around them for the matching items. One by one they go to the judge to have them checked. Can anyone say annoying and tedious? Lucas and Brittany just might have time to catch up.

This may be a race, but no one will be in a hurry for this one. Teams must milk camels. Granted, the camels don't seem to be thrilled either. Indy Car races through the milking and makes their way to Phil and the mat where they win first place of the leg and $7,500 each.
Time lapses on this show are very misleading. Lucas and Brittany do not arrive in their destination until nightfall. Phil meets them at the first stop where he informs them of the bad news. The moral of this story, kids, is to never forget your passport!

Going home is... Team Ocean Rescue.

The next day, the final four teams, with Indy Car in the lead, learn that they will now be traveling to Thailand. After retrieving a garland in a maze of gardens and exchanging it for a clue, the teams are given their choice of two Detour options. They may either "Size It," where they take elephant measurements or "Seize It," where they catch bullfrogs in muddy waters.

Indy Car and Big Brother opt for the detour sans numbers, spending time grasping for slippery frogs while Yale and Extreme play with elephants. In quite the turn of events, Team Extreme outsmart Evan and Henry to jump ahead and ride their elephant off into the sunset. Yale falls behind all of the teams because of a math task that they were convinced they would excel in.

The Snack That Bites Back

Hold onto yourselves for this Roadblock. While one teammate is made to eat three scorpions and one frog, their teammate must sit across from them as live scorpions crawl all over them. We have already seen Cody eat unusual things, so this is right up his alley. Team Indy Car eats their way to the clue, though, and race on to first place at the Pit Stop. Indy Car, Big Brother and Extreme are your top three teams, meaning Yale is in last place. Fortunately for them, though, this is a non-elimination leg of the race.

So there you have it, folks. What do you think of the top three teams of season 30? Who do you believe will win it all? Leave your comments below and join the conversation.
