The Masked Singer 2 Recap: Top 6 Results Live Blog (VIDEOS)
Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke sit on the panel, while Nick Cannon hosts and is an executive producer. Season 1 winner, T-Pain serves as guest host.
ONE singer will be eliminated by the end of the episode. FIVE celebrities will remain. Wednesday's (Dec 11) episode is The Masked Singer SEMI-FINAL. Five costumed celebrities perform, TWO will leave the competition. That leaves 3 masks to compete in next week's finale.
The show kicks off with "masks from the past." The show began with 16 celebrities. Now we're down to six. Season 1 winner, T-Pain AKA the Monster is guest judge. Each of the celebrities presents a clue that ties them to one or all of the judges!
Fox
Clues – The consensus is that Fox is Wayne Brady. Fox reads a book "A guide on how to break up." Fox says, "I feel like I want to get away, I want to fly away." Photos of adorable doggies hang on the wall. He won't need to put on his "superhero" disguise anymore. A drawing of fox depicts him standing in front of three stools. Another photo casts a shadow in a spotlight. "Through this mask," I feel unchained, says Fox. "I'm ready to prove I can win this whole thing without you.."
Performance
Leopard
Clues – The consensus is that Leopard IS Seal. This week, there are tennis clues, "brought to you by tofu." The menace of tennis? Guard 1 – 4, Guard 2 – 3 is the score. Hm. A check for 20 million dollars flashes on screen, then a busted up toy motorcycle. (Last month, Seal participated in the Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic. )
Performance
Thingamajig
Clues: The general consensus is Thingamajig is NBA player, Victor Oladipo. Thingamajig is holding a guitar (Victor is a musician on the side). Thingy plasters cars with cards that say "MVP" (Probably alluding to Victor's basketball career). More fashion! (Victor loves fashion). Thingy declares, 'There's no time to get crabby" (Victor's home town, Silver Springs, Maryland is known for soft shell crabs). Performance – Ordinary People by John Legend – Good song choice for Thingy. He even sounds like John a little. It' a bit karaoke for that reason. But he sounds good tonight. The crowd is loving this. T-Pain says "son I'm proud of you. You're probably breathing hard as hell. I stuck my a** in one of those things." Nicole felt the song was dedicated to her! "We can take it slow," she says. "I've collaborated with the same artists as one of you," says Thingy. Nicole guesses Marquel Foltz, an NBA player. Robin guesses Montell Jordan.
Flamingo
Clues: General consensus is that Flamingo is Adrienne Bailon. "First I went from Clueless to celebrated," she says. "And then I mingled with other Flamingos and it was like a Different World. My friends are like my sisters, sister." (Adrienne had a cameo in the The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants.)
Performance
Tree
Clues: Tree is Ana Gasteyer – "I miss the collaboration," says Tree (Referring to Ana's days as a member of SNL and the Groundlings comedy troupe). "But I know my loved ones are here in spirit, and I need their cheers more than ever." (Ana starred in Tina Fey's movie Mean Girls)
Performance
Rottweiler
Clues: Rottweiler IS Chris Daughtry! In tonight's clues package, Rottweiler meditates, while a guitar sits nearby. There is a cluster of blue roses. (Chris practices martial arts, plays guitar and sports a tattoo of blue roses.) Rottweiler is flanked by two men wearing babies on their chests. (Chris and his wife Deanna had twins several years ago) There is a clock stopped at 12/26. (That's Chris' birthday!)Performance: Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi. PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT Y'ALL. We all know this is Chris Daughtry. And he's doing that amazing thing he always does singing ballads. Yay. Chris will definitely make it to the semi-finals. People in the audience are crying. The judges give Rottie a standing 0. Nicole calls it the most vulnerable and honest performance ever on the Masked Singer stage. "I have been on the same list as one of you. And it's not sexiest man alive.. Sorry Ken," says Daughtry. Robin is still stuck on Darren Criss. Nicole guesses Jared Leto Ken guesses Bow Wow. DUMB GUESS. T-Pain calls Rottie a really good damn singer. FOX UPLOADED THE FULL

RESULTS: The Tree is eliminated! Ok. That's not surprising. I kinda suspected it would be her. Final guesses: Robin switched to Amy Sedaris. Nicole also guesses Amy Sedaris. Jenny guesses Ana Gasteyer. Ken guesses Bebe Neuwirth. T-Pain guesses Mariah Carey. He wants to see Nick panic!
And the TREE IS…Ana Gasteyer!!! Ken did starred in A Christmas Story Live with Ken. He totally missed it. He calls her a musical and comedy genius.
