The Power of Veto Competition took place this afternoon in the Big Brother 22 All-Stars house, and it feels fair to call this one huge. There are so many crazy scenarios that could unfold from it, and it's been a crazy week already.

If you missed it, Head of Household Dani nominated David and Kevin for eviction, but that changed once David used His Disruptor power and anonymously removed himself from the block. Following that, Dani nominated Tyler, who she originally contemplated backdooring. He could go if the nominations stay the same, but some of the guys aren't that interested in taking him out as of yet. Ian, Da'Vonne, and Enzo joined the HoH and the nominees, though we didn't get a sense that any of them were super excited about the prospect of using the Veto if they won it.

So who ended up taking home the power? Da'Vonne! She's WON her first competition. Now, the question becomes whether or not she uses it our opts to keep the nominations the same. This is a tough decision for her. She can use the veto on Kevin and potentially alienate Dani (who has to nominate another person), or she can risk one of her closest allies.. She should take her time to think this through, since there could be long-term consequences here for whatever she chooses to do.
For the record, the houseguests were claiming that this is one of the weirdest competitions that they've ever been a part of.

Let's start off with a quick refresher, if you missed some of the chaos from overnight — David and Kevin were the initial nominations from Head of Household Dani, but late last night David opted to use his Disruptor power. He is now off the block, and Tyler is up in his place. Dani clearly wants him gone from the game, but it remains to be seen if there is going to be a way to accumulate enough votes to actually send him out. There are a lot of different ways in which this could all still go awry that we have to be aware of.

So who is going to be joining Tyler, Dani, and Kevin in the Veto? Think along the lines of Da'Vonne, Enzo, and Ian. This is an interesting draw — Da'Vonne would probably use it on Kevin, but how hard would Ian really try? It would show his cards and he may not want to do that. Meanwhile, Enzo wants to save Tyler, but there was a conversation about how much they want to stick their neck out for him and make Dani somewhat mad in the process.

The Veto will probably be in the same little soundstage that they've used as of late for the BB Basement and Safety Suite competitions — because players were chosen early, we have a feeling that it's going to be happening within the near future. We'll have an update whenever it is over and there's more in the way of news to pass along.

When the Nomination Ceremony concluded tonight within the Big Brother 22 house, we felt fairly certain that this was it for the day. If David hadn't already been given an opportunity to use his power, he could turn around and do it the very next week.

Well, the producers of the show have very much surprised us now! Not only did David have a chance to use the power late tonight, but Head of Household Dani made a big move with her nominations! Initially, she put up there David and Kevin, with the former being more of the target. Following David using it, though, she decided to go ahead and put up Tyler. There is no guarantee that he will still be evicted, given that he does have the Power of Veto to fight for and beyond just that, there's no guarantee there would be enough votes to evict him. Four votes and a tiebreaker would do it, and there may not be an incentive for some of Dani's fellow members of the Committee to keep Kevin over Tyler..

What's perhaps the most entertaining part of all of this is that David opted to use the power on himself — and then lie about having it. Nobody in the house buys this and really, he's coming across as super-untrustworthy as a result of that. If he was just to go ahead and own it, he probably wouldn't have that much ill will towards him. However, doing it the way that he has is setting himself up for some trouble down the road.

Entering the nominations ceremony, we knew that the plan was for Head of Household Dani to nominate David and Kevin, with the possibility of a Tyler backdoor a little bit down the road. We had assumed that David would use his power, but that hasn't happened … at least not yet. Maybe the power is played a little bit later on and with that, a different nominee will be selected. We do think that if David is safe, it is going to present a really difficult option for Dani. She will have to try and figure out who her next target is going to be, at least if she is not willing to put Tyler up on the block.

So we think that it's the right time to get rid of Tyler? It's risky, but it could end up being good for her. As it stands, Dani doesn't have enough on her resume to try and win the game — eventually, she is going to have to find a way to make something more happen. This could be the time, provided that she's ready and willing to go ahead and go for it.

Hopefully, we'll have more insight overnight — we just have to assume that David's power can be used later since otherwise, what is the point?

Want to know what's going to happen in terms of nominations today within the Big Brother 22 house? We've got at least a small sense of it now, but there is also a good chance at chaos after the fact.]

As of right now, it does look as though new Head of Household Dani is going to nominate Kevin and David for eviction. She's got a potential backdoor plan here in Tyler if the situation presents itself, but the tricky thing here is that her initial nominations are likely going to be hit with a curveball. David will likely use his power to remove himself from the block, which then could force Dani to put someone else up on the spot. Who would that be? She says that she's not going to put up Ian and she's terrified of Christmas — who are the other options? She's reasonably close to Da'Vonne, but that's an option … and so is just doing the Tyler move early and being done with it.

On a separate note, it seems as though some of the houseguests have been tipped off that there could be a segment coming about how Memphis was mocking Ian while Nicole, Dani, and others were in the room laughing. Nicole has suddenly grown very concerned that this is going to be a part of the show, and has started to have conversations with Ian about how their friendship matters more than anything. What we'd like to see more of is a conversation of some of the players understanding why they were wrong to do what they did, but there's no guarantee that we're going to have that.
