Big Brother 21 live feed spoilers: Who won the Power of Veto? (day 39)

Big Brother July 28, 2019

Big BrotherWho won the Power of Veto within the Big Brother 21 house today? Within this piece, we come bearing news on that subject, coupled with what it could mean.

Earlier today the Veto players were chosen, and we learn through those that Head of Household Holly will be playing alongside the nominees (Nick and Sam) and then also Jessica, Tommy, and Cliff. Given that Cliff is still hurting from last week's Power of Veto Competition, the odds were actually in either Nick or Sam's favor to win this Veto and move forward in the game. Of course, that was dependent on if it was a physical Veto … and how hard some of the other people wanted to try. (Other than Tommy and Holly, what's the incentive for the other players to fight for this?)

So who ended up winning the all-important Veto necklace? When the dust settled, the victor was … Nick! The funny thing is that for most of the day, we've tried our best to conjure up possible scenarios in which we could see Sam stick around the game for a while, mostly because of some of the conversations that were happening in the game where Analyse wanted to fight for Sam for a little while longer. All of those talks are now moot given that Sam is likely going to be shipped out the door on Thursday. He'll be "guilty by association" all over again.

For entertainment's sake, it's great to have Nick stick around in the game because he could care less about trying to dance around targeting Christie — he's going to do whatever he sees fit and now, he's got a new lease on life in this game. If he can win the next Head of Household and keep someone from the other side from winning the Veto, maybe he can make one of the biggest moves of the entire game so far.

Big Brother 21 live feed spoilers: Veto players; what's ahead (day 39)

Big Brother July 27, 2019

Big Brother 21 CastToday marks the Veto Competition within the Big Brother 21 house, and wouldn't it be nice if there are some fireworks that go along with it?

Going into the selection of players today, it was easy to identify one thing: Sam or Nick just needed to win it in the event that they wanted to stick around. Given how far on the outside of things that they are at the moment, it's hard to envision a scenario where they are going to be able to get anyone to use a Veto on them. It would put a target on that person's back and everyone wants to be around in the game for as long as possible. That's a part of the underdogs' strategy that has been so frustrating — there is a lot of "playing to get to jury" rather than playing to win.

The Veto players for now appear to be Head of Household Holly, nominees Sam and Nick, plus also Jessica, Cliff, and Tommy. If the underdogs were working together and there was a chance for one of them to have the Diamond POV, this would be a good draw. There's going to be a good chance that either Sam or Nick end up winning this. Sam claims that he would let Nick win the situation came to that, but that all depends on whatever the competition is — or if there is a cash prize at the end of it.

So who will the replacement nominee be? Probably either Nicole or Kat, based on conversation in the house right now. Christie does have her Diamond Power of Veto, but there is a slim chance that she is going to use it. We just wonder if Sam and Nick were more agreeable to Christie, if she would consider using it. At this point, there's no chance that's going to happen … but things can change here and there in this game.
