Re: [FunBBGroup] Getting bad

Nope.  I suspect some states aren't testing as much as they should to keep numbers low.   Which is sad.

We only have 32 active cases.   7 in my county, and 1 in next county that is a 2 minute drive from me.

I'm hoping our numbers stay low.    I read this morning only one state doesn't have a case.  I'm guessing it's Alaska.

Oh I think that's a terrible idea.  First of all people are getting it a second time..it's not working like the chicken pox where once you get it you're immune.  Also imagine everyone sick all at once...hospitals are being flooded as is....people would die even more so because they won't be able to get any medical care at all.  It sounds good in theory but it's really a horrible idea.  And yea, there are several now who have gotten better and then got it a second time.  That just won't work...it would be way worse.  But yea, our grocery stores are nuts right now.  No toilet paper, meats are all out, people are acting crazy. If people stayed calm and just bought things like normal there would be enough things for everyone but panic makes everyone hoard and leave nothing for others.

Re: [FunBBGroup] Getting bad

It is super contagious.  It is a virus we have not dealt with before . So many things are not know about it. Sars naturally died out . But again Covid-19 is different abd we do not actually know what it will do , we know it spreads fast , and it really effects your ability to breath . So it not fun to get and if your immune system is not really good you could die of it .  Young people can die of it too .

Lack of masks is a real issue . And if too many get sick 😷 at once they will not be able to get you i the hospital if you are really ill. So some who would not normally die with care , now are in danger .
So let's hope this virus peaks soon and the numbers start to go down with people in isolation. Flatten the curve .

Exactly.  So why with this one?  Is it more spreadable than the others?  I guess so...but there were lots of deaths with swine flu and Ebola was scary for a while but there was nothing like this.

I forget which one it was, but I remember the only precautions during one of them was at the ER, if you had been to Asia, or in contact with someone who recently visited, you had to sit in a cordoned off area.   That was it.   Oh, and wear a face mask.    And it was during an active suicide time for my son, so we were there about once a week for over a month.  Never saw anyone in that area.   Nor did I see anyone with face masks, except one registration woman who is against vaccinations, and was required to wear the mask in lieu of getting the flu vaccine..

This is crazy.  Heck, there wasn't this degree of concern when the measles outbreaks would happen.

People keep saying don't panic.   But I can't remember a time like this ever, and I will be 50 this year.   And then local panic, people buying all the food in supermarkets.   So that is a new panic.

I read today there are more cases outside of China than are in China.   This is insane,    And I'm curious what makes this worse than SARS or H1N1, those were concerns, but nothing even close to this.

My friend has it.   She's close to recovering now.   Just remind yourself often that most who get it survive.   And more have it than have tested positive.   Most survive.   And if you are concerned, call your doctors office, explain your symptoms.   They will let you know if you fit the criteria or not, or should get tested.   Crossing fingers you just have allergies or a cold.

I'm driving myself crazy.  I've been sick the last 2 days...nothing major but I've convinced myself I have the coronavirus.  It started with a little cough and sore throat and then yesterday and today it's mostly a little bit of a stuffy nose and sore throat but i have that sickly feeling of head bothering me plus dizzyish feeling.  I checked my temparture today and it's 99.2 (if my therometer is accurate) but i worry because night is usually worse so then i'm afraid i will have a fever tonight and I'm worried I have it.  I haven't isolated from my family because my anxiety is through the roof so now i'm scared they will get it too.  I've just read so many horror stories...ugh.

Hulu has Real Housewives.   And BH usually ends with Kyles Halloween party, right?   If so, they finished.

You could probably just watch last seasons N.Y. to get caught up on continuing storylines.

Real Housewives of New York starts Wednesday, and in a few weeks Beverly Hills starts.

I'm enjoying it.  Just finished Season 1.  Season 2 Episode 1 is playing as I type this.   It is weird seeing Ryan Eggold as this mean character when I see him asa kind caring person on New Amsterdam.

Red has to be Lizs father.   I'm trying to not read spoilers, but those burn scars on his back.
