Big Brother 20 ventured to unfortunately familiar territory this week when Houseguests displayed behavior that has led to a reprimanding by production and a statement from CBS. Feeds have been on for BB20 for less than a week and already there have been several incidents raising negative attention for the newly launched season with both words and actions by several HGs.
In the past few days, JC Monduix has inappropriately touched both male and female HGs. We've seen on the Feeds where JC rubbed Tyler's crotch without welcome or request as well as an incident with an ice cream scooper and several of the ladies.
Earlier this week on Monday, HGs Angela and Rachel made comments regarding their tans. Rachel commented she was changing ethnicities with her sun exposure while Angela called her own tan "ghetto."
Tuesday night CBS released this statement, via THR, in response:
Big Brother is a reality show about watching a group of people who have no privacy 24/7 — and capturing every unfiltered moment and conversation in their lives. At times, the houseguests reveal prejudices and exhibit behavior that we do not condone. The producers have addressed two such incidents that were seen recently on the 24/7 online feed. In both cases, those involved have been warned about their inappropriate behavior and offensive comments, as well as future consequences. These events will not be part of any future Big Brother broadcast on CBS.
It appears that production spoke with everyone involved as Rachel and Angela were both very much withdrawn and saddened during Tuesday's Feeds. Haleigh noted Angela was laying on the ground by DR crying but they weren't sure what had happened and suspected it was something from back home. In this case, it appears production addressed HGs privately rather than as a group if some of them don't know what's going on.
According to an inside source (reliable track record of inside information), Tyler told the DR he wasn't concerned or bothered by JC's actions. As for Rachel and Angela, both were allegedly talked to privatelyby EP Allison Grodner and expressed remorse.
With CBS's statement that these events will not be part of the episodes, we'll have to watch and see if this is the end of these incidents for the Big Brother 20 season.
