'Celebrity Big Brother' Recap: A Double Eviction Leads to the Final 5

We're just two days away from the finale of Celebrity Big Brother, and yet here are still seven people in the house. But that's about to change thanks to a double eviction that will see two people leaving the game. In a season full of shifting alliances and broken promises, plus the end in sight, anything is possible as everyone tries to do what's best to win the game.

But first, before we get to the live HoH and PoV competitions, plus the second eviction, we have to get through the previous Power of Veto to decide if Brandi or Ariadna can save themselves from the block.

The Target

Brandi blames dumb James for her nomination while Omarosa is happy because she's playing the "Anyone but me" strategy. Brandi immediately admits that she's going after James, not Mark. If that's true, then why does she think James is dumb for trying to take her out?

Brandi and Ariadna put the pieces together that Ross and Marissa made a deal with James and Mark and that they are loyal to no one but whoever wins the power. Ross and Marissa are torn because they think they can trust James and Mark, but Ross and Brandi are close friends and it hurts him to see her as the target. Meanwhile, James tells Ariadna that she's not the target and even if Brandi wins the Power of Veto, Omarosa would be the replacement nominee.

Brandi vs. James

Later, Brandi continues to dig her own grave with her big mouth. She asks everyone to say something mean about Julie Chen, then starts a fight with James. She says she saved him twice and she's very kind. James goes off on all of the times she's said mean things and he's let it slide. She claims that she likes him half of the time, but not when he's cocky.

After the fight, Mark and Marissa take James' side. Brandi overhears this and confronts Marissa for agreeing with James. Marissa tries to stay neutral like Switzerland. Then Marissa goes back to James and says that she's on his side and Brandi is acting crazy.

The Power of Veto Competition

Everyone except Ross is picked to play. It's the Face Morph, where they each must determine which three HGs faces are mixed together on four action figures in the fastest time. After they finish, they get to go to the HoH room with Ross and watch everyone else.

Omarosa is up first and she throws it so she's not a threat, finishing in just under 39 minutes. Ross totally believes that she's dumb. Omarosa then uses her alone-time with Ross to propose a Final 2 deal because it's his best chance to win. She never gives up and I love it.

Ariadna is second and, after struggling on her own smile, she speeds up and takes the lead in just over 9 minutes James is next and gets the first two quickly, but then fails on the third one and loses. Marissa takes forever on the first one and also loses Mark doesn't even get the first one correct and he's out. It all comes down to Brandi and, like Mark, she doesn't even get the first one right.

Ariadna wins the Power of Veto!

That was a blow-out, with Omarosa, Marissa, Mark and Brandi all doing terribly. Mark knows he'll need to pick a replacement nominee, one that ensures that Brandi goes home.

Mark tells James that it has to be Marissa going on the block because Omarosa is too risky and would probably go home over Brandi. Mark also warns James that he needs to be wary of Ross and Marissa because they might target him.

Ariadna uses the Power of Veto to save herself. Marissa is the replacement nominee.

Omarosa is thrilled that she's not on the block while Ross is torn because he has two close friends on the block. Brandi thinks James and Mark are foolish for targeting her, but she has a big mouth that she can use as a weapon.

The First Live Eviction

Marissa says that she won't campaign against Brandi and she's most proud of being Zev's mommy and a cancer survivor. Brandi loves a lot of the people in the house, but not everyone. She hopes Ariadna wins the whole thing and she's shocked that she likes Omarosa, giving her a painted butternut squash that Brandi refers to as her boyfriend.

James votes to evict...Brandi
Ariadna votes to evict...Marissa
Ross votes to evict...Brandi
Omarosa votes to evict...Brandi

Brandi Glanville is evicted 3-1!

Brandi says she had a Final 2 with Brandi and feels betrayed by him. She'll forgive Ross because he bribed her with free alcohol for the rest of their relationship. She explains that she may not have taken Ariadna to the end because she knows she couldn't have beaten her. She knows her mouth got her in trouble, but she can't change who she is. James' goodbye message is mean, but Brandi says that hers was worse for him.

The HoH Competition

It's James vs. Ross vs. Marissa vs. Ariadna vs. Omarosa. It's a true or false quiz about works of art they were shown earlier and whoever has the most right after 7 questions wins.

Question 1: Everyone except Ariadna is right.
Question 2: Everyone except Ariadna is right.
Question 3: Marissa and Omarosa are wrong.
Question 4: Omarosa is right.
Question 5: Everyone except Ross is right,
Question 6: Everyone is right.

James and Omarosa are tied for the lead.

Question 7: Everyone except Marissa is right.

It's a tie between James and Omarosa. The tie-breaker is a number and the closest without going over wins.

How long in seconds was the first HoH?

Omarosa: 120
James: 5,402

James went way over, more than double the right answer. And this continues his streak of finishing in second place in all six HoH competitions.

Omarosa is the new HoH!

Wow,  this could go anyone. Last time, her target was Ross. But she could go after anyone.

Omarosa nominates Ross and Marissa.

Wow, she's going for them. I'm kind of shocked that James isn't on the block, yet.

The Live Power of Veto Competition

There are six paintings on the memory wall and copies hidden in the house. But one is not identical. They can lock in their number at any time, but if they're wrong, they're out. This is fun and different.

Ross locks in first with #4. He's right.

Ross wins the Power of Veto!

Oh wow. Once again, Omarosa puts him up as her target, but he wins. Now what will Omarosa do?

Ross saves himself. Omarosa nominates James.

Bad news for him. "That's really a bummer" is his reaction. Somewhere backstage, Brandi is cackling with delight.

The Second Live Eviction

James says that no one can beat Marissa in the end so they should keep him because he's a man of his word. Marissa also campaigns, saying that he'll beat them in every competition and she won't.

Ariadna votes to evict...James
Mark votes to evict...Marissa
Ross votes to evict...James

James Maslow is evicted 2-1!

It's very somber. He says it's not smart, but it's a game. He's a bit surprised because he thought Marissa was the target. He thinks his mistake is not committing to Omarosa. He says that he thinks Brandi hated him because she secretly had a crush on him. He thinks Ross has done the best so far.

Julie Chen explains how the endgame works. The Final 5 will work out as usual, with an HoH and PoV. Then the Final 4 will all compete live for the Final HoH who will immediately evict two HGs and choose who they go to the end with.

Which of the Final 5 do you want to win?
