Re: [FunBBGroup] Julie Chen

I do think if they cheated on you vs if they cheated on somebody else should come into play.

If you know somebody cheated in the past and then they cheat on you then you shouldn't be surprised but if they are faithful to you how much should you condemn them for the past?

(I'm using the word cheat generically here).

It is complicated.

I feel mixed about that too. Like does someone who did terrible things but hasn't done them for almost 2 decades and possibly changed not get a second chance or credit for turning his life around?  I mean it's awful what he did, and he has lots of victims allegedly, but if in fact he changed does Julie not get to keep the father of their child and someone who changed and treated her well?  It's confusing. I think it's really tough for her.
But then before this happened how much did she judge women who stood by their men for things like this?

And one more comment.  Given that there are no reported incidents after Julie it does make me wonder if his first divorce was due to some of these issues and that Julie may have been aware of what was going on and demanded he stop if they were going to be together or maybe he learned something from those things causing the end of his marriage and made a concreted effort to change and do better.

That doesn't absolve him of responsibility for what he did in the past but if he did change when he started dating Julie then it makes her decision to stand by him a lot more understandable.

Just speculation on my part and trying to read between the lines a bit.

It's more than just sexual harassment and it's more than just 1 case.  The one thing I will say is so far there have been no accusations that occurred after he and Julie were together.  Apparently he forced some women to give him oral sex and other things and if they said no he ruined their careers.  He did other things too.  Even a dr said he came in and forced a kiss on her.   A lot of these accusations were back in the 80's and 90's....but still, he did it.  He was married when he did these things (not to Julie yet) and he was married when he and Julie got together.  Not for nothing but I do think that maybe he came on to Julie (like he did so many others who turned him down) and she accepted his advances (knowing he was married with children) and so her career was obviously saved because she didn't turn him down (definitely not saying that's why she was with him , just saying that's the result) and then they later married.  I'm also not saying that's why she has her career as she was on CBS before she was with him.  I'm just saying that since she accepted his advances, her career was untouched, because those that turned him down were either blackballed from other things or fired.

I loved this season.  Of course it's the end so it's boring like most seasons get with so few people but normally the last few people are usually ones i don't like so this season went pretty good for me.  Brett turned a bit too early.  I understand why he wanted to...but if i'm being honest...Angela is so hated in the jury house it made no sense for him to want to target her.  KC yea..but Angela?  And then he and JC know Tyler and Angela are VERY close now (on the feeds they both admitted they love each other now, though no one in the house knows it)but he and JC had to think Tyler wouldn't really want to get rid of Angela.

I don't think KC will turn on Tyler.  First of all i do agree he's her biggest competition but I think KC will win if she gets to the end at this point and they both are each other's final 2 (Tyler has even said she's his real one though that might change now with Angela).  The jurors really like KC, and now she's won so many competitions.  The jury doesn't like Tyler all that much and Angela they despise.  It stinks because Tyler did play a great game (though he got sloppy at the end because of his relationship with Angela) and I don't think he will win unless he's against Angela.  I thought the same about Brett.  I think if KC gets to the end, she wins against most anyone.  If JC got to the end and won, i wouldn't be very happy.  But at least he strategized a  lot and was involved in game play (without competition wins).  He's absolutely the reason Faysal put up Scotty (with Brett's help) but JC convinced Faysal to do i t.  He was involved in a lot of scheming.  If Sam got to the end and won because the jury wants to punish whoever is next to her, i would really hate it and would feel what a bad ending to a great season.  It's not that I don't like her (though she's not my favorite) but she really didn't do much.  She won one HOH that Tyler and KC gave to her and then she just didn't do any strategizing really....just kind of floated to the end and i would hate that kind of win.

Did she say that at the end of the show?  I didn't notice.  I heard about her husband getting let go, but I don't know the details of what he did, except some sort of "sexual harrassment" accusation?  What is he accused of, or is it proven?

Tonight's show:  I kind of felt a bit bad for Brett.  Is everyone happy with this season?  Usually the side we don't like often gets to the end, so I think most here like this group?  Brett is kind of a tool, but I felt bad for how his team blindsided him... I don't know if I like Angela much, but I've always liked Tyler.  I think he's mistaken that Brett would have beat him... Brett didn't do much.  I think he doesn't realize that Kaycee would beat him.  He has all these alliances, but the one person he needs to take to the end IS Angela because no one likes her in the jury house.  He probably should have let Brett won HOH and take out Kaycee... she is Tyler's biggest competition at this point.  It would have been more interesting to see Kaycee and Angela on the block, just for fun, and not so predictable.  Brett, Sam, and JC were so naive to think t hey were really part of that alliance.  JC and Sam don't even know about the name Level 6, do they?   Brett had that HOH by a portion of a second to Kaycee... he may still be in the game.  Tyler actually could be in trouble if JC or Kaycee wins HOH.... either could realize he is competition for them to win in the end... though JC hasn't won a thing, so that's not likely.

I didn't realize it but then read afterwards that Julie Chen signed off today for the first time as Julie Chen Moonves.  I don't know what to think of it.  First of all that seems like a big F U to CBS and then I know she wants to stand by her husband but he did some really horrible things.  I also wonder if she's going to walk away from CBS or stay.
