The headline says The death was tragic ! I read he was in his 90's and his heart wore out. Is that a tragic death ?
Just wondering?

Carrie has a good point. Yes, maybe give them something, but I'm guessing that there was some issue with their relationship with their father that we don't know about. And if there wasn't, I guess the old man was swindled by his current wife. Who knows? He was much older so we don't know what happened. I have seen it happen where the second wife and the step kids get something and the original (larger) family gets nothing. It happened when my husband's grandfather died... he left all to his "new family" and none of the other 5 or 6 kids. Then when his own father died, he found out he was executor (his father never told him that) but all the money went to the second family. So even though my husband's father had 5 kids from his first marriage, his two younger daughters from his second marriage got money, while my husband did all the work for 5 years ironing out his complicated estate and debts and got nothing out of it. Though he didn't seem bitter about it.I just think that sometimes people forget to change their will, what they want one minute might not be what they want 5 years later. Yes, sometimes it just doesn't seem fair. Kind of like when Prince died and none of his family got anything except for a half-sister or someone in the family he wasn't really close to (I don't remember the outcome of that, but it seemed odd to me at the time, given his vast fortune.)CrystalFrom: FunBBGroup@yahoogroups.com [mailto:FunBBGroup@yahoogroups.com]

That entitled them to only be supported until they reached majority age. Doesn't entitle any one of us to be in our parents wills and receive money or property. People expect it does, though. And no one on this email group knows what his relationship was like with any of his kids. What if the six from his former wife regularly spoke bad about him?You know, I have no contact with my mother or father. Last I know, I was in mother's will for 1/4, and my father's will leaves everything to my brother. This was told to me by both several years ago. When they die? I'm not expecting a penny. I never felt entitled to anything from their estate. If I get something? Well, great. If not? My life won't have changed a bit financially, because I'm not basing any of my life decisions on what I may get from my parents wills.People really need to stop thinking they, or others, are entitled to others money and estate simply because they were born to someone.Carrie Courter

The bitter comedian left his fortune to his widow and adopted daughter.
By Rosa SanchezPosted on Sep 21, 2017 @ 12:25PMBitter Jerry Lewis left all of his six sons out of his will before passing, RadarOnline.com has learned via The Blast reports. The not-so-funny man died of a heart failure in August at age 91 and reportedly executed his final papers in 2012.In them, he was sure to exclude: Gary Lewis, Ronald Lewis, Anthony Joseph Lewis, Christopher Joseph Lewis, Scott Anthony Lewis, and Joseph Cristopher Lewis from benefiting off his fortune in any way.The comedian cut his kids with ex-wife Patti Palmer out of his life completely and began a new family with now-widow SanDee. They adopted daughter Danielle who is now 25. Both women were included in Jerry's will and will therefore benefit from his estate.
