Fox News Launching Show Hosted by Shannon Bream

The Hollywood Reporter 23 hours ago

The 11 p.m. show launches on Oct. 30.
Three days after scheduling a new 10 p.m. show for Laura Ingraham and a time-slot change for Sean Hannity, the network announced on Thursday that Shannon Bream will host a live news and analysis show in the 11 p.m. hour.
Bream's new show, Fox News @ Night, will launch Oct. 30, the same day as Ingraham's new show, The Ingraham Angle. Hannity's show is moving back from 10 p.m. to 9 p.m. starting this Monday.
Fox News @ Night will replace an 11 p.m. re-air of Tucker Carlson's 8 p.m. show. The show "will function as a capstone on today's most consequential news, with an eye toward setting the table for tomorrow's ever-changing developments," according to a company announcement.
Bream has been with Fox News since 2007, and has served recently as the network's Supreme Court correspondent. She's also co-anchored the network's morning news show, America's Newsroom.
"Her experience, coupled with the relationship she has with our viewers, offers a perfect fit for the anchor position at 11PM/ET as we extend our live primetime programming," president of news Jay Wallace said in a prepared statement.
While CNN and MSNBC have made few evening programming changes in recent months, Fox News has been filling in holes left by personnel changes and moving things around to strengthen the network's lineup at the most important time-slots.

By moving Hannity back to 9 p.m., the network set-up a direct competition between the star host and MSNBC's Rachel Maddow. Industry observers will be watching closely to see how the two stack up in the ratings.
