I disagree. It's not a serious flaw in his upbringing. It's Jason choosing to be crass and vulgar. My son, who is 21, was raised by me, mostly as a single parent his entire life, even his first 8 years when his father and I were married. I did not ever give him any reason to think racist jokes are funny. Or ethnic jokes, or religious jokes. Yet he chooses to share these types with his friends, and they share with him. Simply put, my son's sense of humor sucks and in those cases, is disgusting. Yet he was raised in a home where judging anyone based on skin color, ethnicity, or religion wasn't tolerated. He was raised to judge people based on their actions. Jason was probably raised in a loving family, but has chosen to enjoy jokes most find disgusting and reprehensible. Carrie Courter
