Re: [FunBBGroup] roseanne revival cancelled

Yea, can't say I blame them.  It was the right call.

But the studio has to want to shop it elsewhere and the studio that makes the show is ABC.  Take the resently picked up Expanse.  That wasn't made by syfy - syfy only had broadcast rights so when cancelled the production company took it to other places and amazon picked it up.  I think abc just wants to wash their hands of the whole thing.

They always try to get Hulu or Netflix to pick things up when it gets canceled but yea, i think it would be hard too.   Yea, Wanda Sykes was a writer for the show and she quit.  I wonder if others behind the scenes were starting to quit.  I know they were saying advertisers were starting to back out.

It would be tough for somebody else to pick it up..

1. How many of the cast would come back?  One cast member already left before they cancelled it.
2.  The show is made by ABC itself which would make it tougher to show to another network and i doubt abc would even want to.

I would hope not. And I hope another network doesn't pick the show up either.

Roseanne lost a lot of peoples jobs by doing that .  Why say that ?
Well I doubt they will consider her for any show in the future !

It definitely was.  It's too bad because i liked the show itself despite her..but that was reprehensible.
