Its down to 18 chefs and the judges get right into it with a mystery challenge. It's fish! They are all given goldfish and believe they have to cook them until Gordon Ramsay laughs, breaking the news that they need to cook fish just not these.
They head to the pantry to get their fish and ingredients. They have one hour. Several chefs cook up fish tacos, red snapper, and flounder.
Times up! The judges ask Matthew to come to the front with his dish as one of the three most impressive. Gordon tries his dish and is taken aback by his skills.

Brielle is asked to the front next with her fresh red snapper fish tacos. The judges commend her on a good job.

Reid is brought up next with his wild striped bass and potato hash with asparagus. Gordon loves the smell, the color, the style, and his great attitude.

Gordon announces that Matthew has won this challenge. He heads to the pantry with the judges to find out what his advantage is. Matthew will not have to cook in the next challenge and gets to select what his peers will cook. The judges tell him he needs to select from citrus fruits, chocolate and pig ears, and intestines. Two chefs will go home. He will also be allowed to save 5 chefs.

The judges tell the 17 remaining what three choices they might be cooking with. They also announce that he can save 5 chefs.

The chefs get to work. Reid is making lemon glazed donuts while others are making citrus pancakes and more.

During the challenge, Nayeli burns herself with caramel trying to make a blood orange upside down cake. Matthew and the 4 not cooking watch concerned from the top floor.  Kyle makes a lemon tart while Reid plates his donuts. Talulah works on macaroons.
Times up! Ben brings up his Napoleon dessert. He nails the mark with all of his citrus flavors. Nayeli brings up her cake. They love it. Next, Talulah brings up her macaroons. Gordon asks her why she would attempt to make such a complicated dessert. He examines her macaroons and points out that she doesn't have any filling.
Reid's donuts are tasted next and found to be a bit flat. Mateo's pan seared, lemon risotto dish is also lacking per Gordon as it misses the taste mark. Brielle also has trouble with rice that is too peppery. Kyle's blood orange tarts are a hit except for blood orange on top. The judges call it clunky but the curd is smooth.

Malia brings up her citrus pork chop. He cuts into it and is impressed. It is time for the elimination of two chefs. The judges talk privately. They return, commending all of the cooks for their strong attempts.

Mateo, Brielle, Kyle and Talulah are called to the front. Kyle and Brielle are asked to step forward. They are safe. Mateo and Talulah are headed home. Sad and grateful, they hug the others goodbye.
THE END!
