Remember that beauty pageant winner in Season 1? The show increased her profile, enabling her to get an on air news job in some town in Washington. She attributed her getting the job to BB. But was also clear that was her goal.

Someone like Jason? He has a company, a brand, prior to going in. Now, had he not done the rape is funny route, he could have turned his BB time into great marketing. He certainly made sure his brand got featured. A lot. So get people talking about him, they talk about his brand. Not only only free publicity, but he's being paid. To market his brand 24/7 to people who share on social med I a. And those that see what is shared may get curious, look it up, and it quickly and easily leads to non BB exposure. He tainted his brand though, big time. He just doesn't know it yet.

But people like Alex? With no brand coming in? Not going to work. And sorry, but GP awareness isn't marketing or brand. It's a condition, though Raven is trying, and has for years it appears, to earn money off it, which is disgusting to me. Paul may have had a brand before last year, not sure. But his BB exposure this year should look d have made his brand skyrocket, except, well, he's shown himself to be a reprehensible person this year, so his brand will likely suffer as a result.

Even Chicken George tried to make something, but didn't. Because there just isn't a market.

You are right. Bold & Beautiful spot doesn't translate into anything except a cross promotion to try to get Big Brother viewers hooked on a soap. Marketing ploy, nothing more. How many of us can list HGs from season 17, all of them, without looking it up first? Not many.

But i've heard Alex say several times about the opportunities she's going to have...and i think that's why she's willing to help Paul win and her lose because she said she wants to be his friend after. He can't do anything for her. They need people who really want to win and not play for other people and give up their own games. I just can't believe they had a season where they found so many people who were willing to do what Paul said all season long and then lose out on their own game.
