Following tonight's
Celebrity Big Brother 2 finale are you looking for some backyard interviews? Rest assured, you're not alone.
Every year at this time, we prepare ourselves to go through some of what we've heard about from various houseguests in their post-show press — which usually happens in the backyard of the house. However, as of this moment we haven't gotten any official word that this is happening — at least for viewers to enjoy live. If we get more information on that very subject, we'll have it for you here.
One thing that we certainly did wonder entering this finale was whether or not these were going to happen at least in the same way as in the past, mostly because we are talking about a reasonably polarizing season of the show with some less than happy moments. Still, we thought that everyone put their issues to the side in the finale and voted for someone who played a great game in the end in Tamar — it wasn't perfect, but can you argue against a unanimous vote? It's really hard to.
The biggest reason why we don't think that there are backyard interviews happening (at least in the way we've seen them in the past) is just because they tend to be promoted to some degree in advance. The fact that this isn't happening this time around? Well, that's a little bit surprising. It's also a bummer since there are a TON of questions that we have, including whether or not we would've seen Ricky Williams beat Lolo Jones.
Ultimately, we do think that there will be some interviews that come out over the next few hours (or at least overnight) … and we'll do our best to have coverage of those even if we don't end up having anything for you from the backyard tonight. If that happens, we're as bummed about it as you. This is a good time to get real, unfiltered thoughts about the game from everyone who ended up playing it over the course of the night.
Update: It does seem like CBS is doing interviews following the finale, but they're putting them up online via Twitter after the fact.
