Nothing will change though. Not until the laws allowing corporations and PACs to buy politicians change.

EXACTLY!! People say it won't help but statistically it shows the opposite, it really does help. We're the only country really where we have not just mass shootings, but hundreds of people dying from guns every day. And we are about the only country who allows mentally ill people (which was just approved a few months ago) and anyone practically, even those who are on the no fly list to get a gun into their hands. Plus, not to mention the gun shows where there are no background checks whatsoever...just show up and buy a gun. I'm sorry but something has to be done, when we see the proof of gun control in other countries, the argument that it doesn't work becomes invalid.

We do know that those countries have gun control. I guess, to some, that's a horrible thing. You shouldbe able to grab a gun and shoot any time the spirit moves you. I will never understand why protecting ourselvesagainst that kind of evil is wrong. Back in the pioneer days, people had guns because there was no law, and peopleneeded to be armed against harm that might come to their families. That's not the way it is today. Get the guns outof the hands of these crazy people before we have many repeats of the terrible Las Vegas tragegy!

I know many won't agree with me, but just for fun...how come in countries like Canada, England, France, Germany etc they don't have deaths by guns every day? Or Mass shootings anywhere like they have here. They have an incident here and there, but nothing even close to here. I just wonder (sarcastically) why it happens so much more often here than those other countries (and statistically this is true). I wonder what the difference is in those countries vs ours. Just a thought.

I don't like guns I wont have one. Yes I know guns don't kill ,its the person that pulls the trigger that kills. But for gun control? People are going to find guns on almost any street corner. I suppose we will now hear about getting guns off the streets. Yadda. This was a gun. Could have been a bomb, or a car driving thru the crowd.I just don't see how we can stop this from happening . I guess we can be thankful he didn't kill and injure more. 22,000 and almost 600 injured or killed. Sad day for AmericacgIncensed Sean Hannity Says Talking Gun Control After Las Vegas Is 'Shameful'
U.S.Incensed Sean Hannity Says Talking Gun Control After Las Vegas Is 'Shameful'
Sean Hannity responded to the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history by lambasting Democrats and members of the media who are calling for tougher gun control laws. The Fox News host accused gun control advocates of "politicizing the tragedy in an absolutely despicable display." He said such discussions in the wake of the mass shooting, which left nearly 60 people dead and 500 injured at a country music festival in Las Vegas, were "so shameful," "exploitative" and "pathetic.""Bodies weren't even in the morgue yet," Hannity said. "Parents were in hospitals with their kids who are hanging on to life. None of this mattered to the left in this country."The shooter, identified by police as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock of Mesquite, Nevada, opened fire on 22,000 festival attendees from a 32nd-floor hotel room around 10 p.m. on Sunday night. The attack occurred during the final set of the three-day country music Route 91 Harvest Festival.Initial reports indicate Paddock had more than 20 guns in his room at the Mandalay Bay Hotel, including AR-15-style and AK-47-style rifles. A law enforcement official quoted by the New York Times said two rifles with scopes on tripods were found positioned in front of the broken windows in Paddock's room.Like in many states in the U.S., Nevada's lax gun laws allow residents to openly carry long guns, and no permit is required for such a display. It's also legal to own a fully automatic firearm in the state.
