Troy Gentry of Montgomery Gentry died Friday in a helicopter crash in Medford, New Jersey. He was 50.

The crash occurred around 1 p.m. ET. The duo had been scheduled to perform at the Flying W Airport & Resort in Medford.

Details of the crash are unknown, but initial reports indicate that his musical partner Eddie Montgomery was not aboard the helicopter. The identity of one other person killed in the crash has not yet been released by investigators.
