First time I have ever seen a non elimination . It was great to see that in the second show.
Sorry folks I don't care much for Ebony or Yachecia. Don't really care that much for Jeff. I guess I like Dino Jason and Cait . But to win this? I just really don't know even at this late date. Who do you want to win this?

- Jeff -- egg yolk ravioli with truffle oil, sage-brown butter sauce and pecorino Romano
- Eboni -- Farfalle with sausage, mushrooms, spinach and fried basil
- Gabriel -- cannelloni with ricotta-spinach filling and rustic tomato sauce
- Cate -- cavatelli with peas, mint and herb ricotta
- Jason -- pappardelle with beef and pork Bolognese sauce
- Yachecia -- chicken and pork tortellini with ricotta, chicken broth, roasted tomatoes and pesto
Gordon and Aaron agree that while Jeff's plate is a mess, the ravioli is perfect with a perfect flavor. Eboni also nails her dish, which Christina says is cooked beautifully. Gabriel, unfortunately, doesn't make the pasta the way it's supposed to be. Christina explains that it should be round, but his are flat. Christina and Gordon also agree that the flavors are just not there either.
Cate seems to skirt by with her dish while Jason wows Aaron with his dynamite flavor. Lastly, Gordon tries Yachecia's tortellini. He thinks her pairing of chicken and pork is ridiculous. He thinks the shape of the pasta is great, but there's no texture and no flavor. He calls it her worst performing dish so far in the competition.
An Offer He Can't Refuse
The judges love Jason's dish, but crown Eboni the winner of the challenge. The bottom two are Yachecia and Gabriel. The judges send Gabriel home. However, they bring everyone to tears as Gordon tells Gabriel he will be paying for his tuition for culinary school. In addition, Aaron offers Gabriel a job at one of his New Orleans restaurants when he graduates. All the judges agree that 19-year-old Gabriel has the potential to be great.
Pop-Up Team Challenge
In the next challenge, the top six are split into two teams to prepare two appetizers and two entrees for food critics, writers and chefs at a pop-up restaurant at Triunfo Creek Vineyard. Eboni heads up the blue team and chooses Jeff and Cate. Jason picks Dino and Yachecia for his red team.
The judges not only choose the dishes the chefs will be preparing, but they will also choose the winning team based on the feedback of the patrons. Gordon demonstrates each of the four dishes, as the top six scribble down a bunch of notes. The two appetizers are seared scallops with grape and frisee salad and lobster capellini with chardonnay beurre blanc and caviar vinaigrette. The entrees are duck breast with truffle polenta, turnips and cherries and filet mignon with wild mushrooms, fingerling potatoes and a red wine sauce.
Once the orders start coming in, Jason struggles to remember what they are. Dino is concerned that Jason isn't vocal enough. But once Gordon stops by and gives one of his colorful pep talks, Jason gets really vocal, especially when some of the lobster dishes come out cold. But the red team isn't the only struggling with the lobster. Cate has to send back a bunch of lobster dishes to Jeff, as some are raw and some are overcooked. This, of course, sets Eboni off as she starts yelling at him, while Cate tries to keep the peace.
The entrees also come out at varying temperatures from both teams. Gordon tells the red team to wake up and stop sending out raw meat, while Christina brings back a raw filet to the blue team. Eboni blames Jeff for the inconsistent entrees too.
The winning team, which goes directly into the top five, is the red team. This win means that Jeff is 0-5 when it comes to team challenges. Eboni keeps nagging him, calling him bad luck. But surprisingly, Jeff doesn't give in, and he heads into the pressure test ready to prove himself.

It's going to be very tough in the final episodes of MasterChef to get a winner. The top six are very, very strong chefs. If I had to pick right now, I would say the two going head to head in the final challenge will probably be Yachecia and Cate, but as I said, it's really anyone's game.
