I hope Peter isn't being considered. I would like to see Wells if he isn't serious with Danielle.

Wells Adams will not be The Bachelor, show creator confirms

September 5, 2017
While we may still be waiting to learn for sure whether or not Peter Kraus is The Bachelorit won't be Wells Adams.
In a new post on Twitter earlier tonight, show creator Mike Fleiss confirmed this news by saying that the new lead would not be a contestant from JoJo Fletcher's season of the show. This effectively eliminates Wells, plus some super-fringe candidates for the gig including Chase McNary and Luke Pell. These two guys were more in contention last year, and have since fallen off the map. We couldn't even tell you their relationship statuses for sure.

The movement to have Wells Adams in the lead role really started this summer with his likable turn on Bachelor in Paradise as the bartender, which included a super-sweet moment between him and Danielle Maltby as she kissed him before heading out the door. Wells is very likable, and we think the internet really likes him especially because he's smart, witty, and has a good sense of humor. He'd be different from many other Bachelors, and probably the funniest one since Sean Lowe had the role a few seasons back.
Do we buy what Fleiss is selling here? Yes. While this is a man known for yanking the chain of many a card-carrying member of Bachelor Nation, he's typically vague and cryptic when he wants to screw with people. This is a something a little more direct. To have it be Wells now would probably send Peter fans into a total tailspin.

So … does this mean that Peter Kraus has it?

Not officially, but Wells was the only other serious candidate based on most internet hype. Remember that Ben Higgins, whose name was floated around for a while, already made it clear that he doesn't want the gig for the time being. Meanwhile, we've also seen Dean Unglert's stock plummet during this season of Bachelor in Paradise, and there was a 0% chance that Nick Viall would ever come back again as the lead.
The thing with Peter is that he's probably been the favorite of the show and the network the whole time, and while there have probably been some negotiations here and there, this is probably another case of them making a mountain of hype out of a molehill. They knew who they wanted from the start and had to create some drama around it. The only reason that there is some validity to said drama is because Nick was such a surprise choice last summer, when everyone wanted to think that it was Luke vs. Chase and that's it. The only thing that could stop Peter from being the lead is simple: Him not wanting to be the lead. Otherwise, the guy has this in the bag.

What do you think about Wells Adams not being The Bachelor?
