Is it possible that Monday night's new episode of
Bachelor in Paradise could feature Dean Unglert doing everything that he can to get Kristina Schulman back? We're not sure that we would go
that far, but early indications do suggest that he is holding a little bit of regret in his heart for the way it all went down. That makes a certain degree of sense, given that the two parties didn't exactly break things off in the best way possible. She left during the Rose Ceremony after feeling as though she wasn't respecting him, while Danielle Lombard a.k.a. D-Lo (the other target of his affection) remained. This was by far the most awkward love triangle of this entire season, and it is one that definitely hurt the image of Dean in the public eye. Remember that this was a guy who many people wanted to see as the next Bachelor before all of this started.
What we can tell you about Monday's new episode is that it certainly looks as though Dean is going to leave to pursue Kristina rather than try and continue to date Danielle. The portion of the ABC synopsis below almost confirms so, but it doesn't mention Dean by name:
"Meanwhile, a tortured two-timer, who caused one girlfriend to leave in tears, tells his other girlfriend that he now realizes the mistake he made. She leaves heartbroken, while he leaves seeking a second chance with the love he lost."
There is something a little bit ironic about the way that Bachelor in Paradise is discussing what's going on here with Dean. They don't want to mention him by name; yet, it's pretty obvious that this is who it's talking about given that there aren't exactly a whole lot of other people on the show right now in this position. Him leaving and realizing his mistake may be one of the only moves that he can make to repair his image, but even that may not help all that much.
You know who has a great image right now coming off of this season? Kristina. Heck, there was talk among fans that ABC should just forego The Bachelor and give us a season of The Bachelorette starring her instead.
