ABC Networks plans to premiere a 2-hour special called "Story of Soaps" showcasing how soap operas have impacted the lives of people over the years.
This special presented by ABC and PEOPLE magazine focuses on how Soap Operas, regardless of the genre have impacted people from all walks of life. The Story of Soaps particularly focuses on how female creators have evolved from the past to now and how things are evolving for the future generations to come.
A plethora of famous actors would be featuring on the 2 hour special like- Alec Baldwin, John Hamm, John Stamos and Denise Richards to name a few.
The Showrunners was quoted as saying that many people believe that Soap Operas only mean Daytime Soaps, however, that is not the whole story and people need to realise that.
The legacy of Soap Operas is alive and they are still extremely prevalent on television and much of the modern television has roots which trace back to the steamy thriller plotlines of the first original soaps.
