Here in NC we are just not testing people for Covid-19  unless they are seriously ill and need to go to hospital! So our stats here are not nearly as accurate as they should be .

Likely because we were so far behind in testing.  And, there is the fact that tests are still in high demand and so testing may not be done to confirm recovery.   Not enough tests, even still today :(
