[FunBBGroup] This may explain, but I still am going "wow"

 

Ok, came across this article, which explains why this.... reaction to COVID-19.  And while Washington Post normally limits the number of free articles you can read, this one is being marked free no matter what.

And then... I came across this story.  Casinos in Las Vegas are Closing!!!  Good grief!   Seriously, I get it's a pandemic.  And a deadly one.  But wow, this is just a lot to wrap my head around.  Seriously.  Schools closing for several weeks, possibly rest of school year, or year.  Cities and states ordering all restaurants and bars to close, or do take-out/delivery only.  People fighting others in supermarkets for food.  Low-life (insert bad swear word here) jerks cleaning out entire states of medically necessary items and cleaning supplies just to resell on resale sites at 1000% and more markup.  This is insane.

And final article, is 4 ways this pandemic could end.  Ok, I do agree that if it is as bad as health officials are fearing, and seeing, maybe all these measures are good.  But dang it all, forget the stock market, the economic effect on people is going to be huge.  And there are other issues, besides losing income.  Some children will lose their main, steady meal(s), though some states are taking measures to prevent that.  But apparently it involves each state applying to the Federal Government for a waiver that allows federal lunches to be sent home...and I worry that the president, who is very...revenge oriented, will not grant said waivers to states he doesn't like.  But then kids will be getting into trouble, too.  And then the baby boom that's going to likely happen at the end of this year.  Hello, we really don't need a baby boom ROFL
