I really don't know how that group works and how to transfer everyone and everything over so...if you can do it and you don't mind, you can be owner. I don't know if that one has moderators like this one does, where the moderator helps out accepting new people and things like that. I guess once you make the group we'll just have to figure out how to let everyone in the group know so they have an opportunity to join the new one. In yahoogroups, in order for people on no mail or special notices to see posts they have to be sent as special notices. I was just going to send out the facebook link as special notice but if we are going to the other group instead then i won't send that and we'll have to send a link to the new group after it's set up. I'm going to go in and make you co-owner of this group or moderator so you have access to everything. We'll still keep this group open for a while till we're all set up over there.

Do you have to go to Facebook to read messages from the group? I rarely go on Facebook.
What about IOGROUPS

Most of my Yahoo groups switched to that format. It's close to the way yahoogroups is run.

Another yahoo group I belonged to went to Facebook earlier this year and it worked out well . Only one member did not join.

If everyone is on Facebook, maybe make a Facebook Group? Those aren't going anywhere soon. FB is certainly promoting them heavily in commercials.

Apparently yahoogroups is changing the way they are doing things....... It looks like you will only be able to get posts through email and that we no longer will be able to go through the web site to send or read posts. I'm not quite sure exactly. If you are on special notices or no mail I don't think you will any longer be able to read any posts so either you'll have to change it to individual emails so it comes to your email or I am guessing you won't have any access to the group anymore.
