Tonight,
The World's Best premiere arrived on CBS and with that, we're here to break down all of the different acts who hit the stage!
New video – Check out our thoughts on tonight's episode below! Meanwhile, remember to
subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube for more updates.
If you missed it,
head over here for our take on the first group who performed in martial-arts group Kukkiwon — we're going to go through everyone else now and there is a lot of good news to hand down. We'll be back later with more thoughts in video form.
TNT Boys (Philippines) – We know that the Philippines loves its singers with big voices — we've heard a lot of them over the years, and these kids, despite being super-young, certainly have huge voices and a lot of enthusiasm. They are contestants who a lot of people out there are going to root for and we think they're on their way to making it far this season. Advanced.
Space Cowboy (Australia) – This man is crazy — absolutely crazy. But, we never think that this sort of act never gets enough credit. He's a sword-swallower and a particularly dangerous one at that. The dude swallowed 29 swords at once! We loved it because it is so different and he seemed to have so much glee in what he was doing. Yet, apparently, this show is going to treat the more risque acts the same way the Got Talent franchise does. Did not advance.
Enkh Erdene (Mongolia) – He's a country singer who doesn't speak English — yet, he's a fantastic singer in English! He's actually got a reality TV history, having performed on the Mongolian version of Got Talent. A really fantastic singing voice, but we were somewhat surprised that he didn't really know what he was singing. Advanced.
Manami Ito (Japan) – She's a violinist who, following an accident, lost one of her arms and thought that she was never going to be able to perform again. This performance, with the help of a prosthetic arc, proved everyone wrong. She was able to generate something beautiful and inspiring. Who would have the courage to do something like this? Advanced.
Matt Johnson (Britain) – He is an underwater escape artist, someone who does what he does to relate to what his brother goes through on some level. It's incredibly intense what he does, given that one wrong move is enough to end his entire life. All of the credit in the world must be given to him for even trying to do this … but we also have a cliffhanger! We didn't see the other side of his act, so that's for next time clearly. (For those wondering, Matt has appeared on Britain's Got Talent. ) Who does? Still alive? (We kid.)
