AGT's Michael Ketterer Will Not Perform with Garth Brooks as Planned

In the wake of his domestic violence arrest last week, America's Got Talent contestant Michael Ketterer will not be performing with Garth Brooks in October as originally planned. Brooks took to Facebook Live on Monday (Sept 24) to announce that Michael will not be singing at his Notre Dame concert on October 20.

"Called him this weekend, we talked. We decided it was better that he not appear at Notre Dame and not perform there," Brooks said during his Inside Studio G live stream. "That family will figure it out and find it within themselves, and of course the good Lord, and figure it out. Michael Ketterer will not be at Notre Dame."

Ketterer was arrested after he got into an argument with his wife, who allegedly had a visible red mark when police arrived at their hotel room. The singer called the incident a "misunderstanding" and claimed his wife did not want to press charges. Police sources told TMZ that the case would be downgraded to a misdemeanor because the injury was so minor.

Brooks also discussed the fate of "The Courage to Love," the song he wrote for Ketterer's AGT final performance. "I'll tell you what, we'll just stick it in the system," he said. "What we should do, how do we get it to the people? Here's the deal: it's a demo. It's just something you write for somebody else. So it doesn't even sound like me, it doesn't sound like me at all. But we can fix this demo and get it out because the main thing is the song and its message."   

Well that's that. I wonder if Simon Cowell will work with Ketterer as he promised to do? Simon had been invested in Ketterer, his golden buzzer, throughout the competition. Will Simon drop him, or give him a second chance?
