Re: [FunBBGroup] Bill Cosby sentenced 3-10 years in Prison

If his health is as bad as his lawyers were claiming (doubtful) he may never get out of prison.  Hopefully others view this as a lesson and a "yep, shouldn't do this" teachable moment.

Hopefully he'll get the longer end of the sentence. But if they allowed more women to be part of the lawsuit it might've been different but they only allowed the one. They got to testify as part of her case but they weren't included in the actual case against him.

I'm glad the judge didn't treat him any differenty than she would have any other person found guilty of the same crime.  In theory.  She may have given him less time than someone else, but he will still serve for what he did.

Bill Cosby has been sentenced on Tuesday to three to 10 years in state prison for the sexual assault of Andrea Constand.

Judge Steven T. O'Neill made the decision Tuesday, the second day of the sentencing hearing in Norristown, Pa., court — saying, "I'm not permitted to treat him any differently based on who he is or who he was."He also ruled that Cosby is a "sexually violent predator."

The sentence means that Cosby, once known as "America's Dad," will spend at least three years behind bars and then will become eligible for supervised release, although that's not guaranteed. According to journalist Bobby Allyn who was in the courtroom, the judge will not grant bail and the comedian is expected to be taken away to a cell shortly.
