Tonight,
Big Brother 20 episode 36 proved to be a surprisingly entertaining hour despite a good bit of it feeling fairly on-the-nose.
Why? There were just a lot of little moments that we enjoyed about this episode, whether it be Sam's apparent love for Bebe Rexha or seeing her groove to some of the music. Also, we love how Sam goes from zero to sixty in the Diary Room after learning that she is on the block or in danger.
As for the Bebe Rexha performance itself, it was entertaining enough, though we're not a big fan of the music. It was interesting how Angela just mostly sat there, almost as though she was really afraid of grooving along to the music or enjoying herself.
There was a big Angela moment in the episode for fans of her and Tyler — the show actually did give us the moment tonight where she told Tyler she was in love with him. (For those wondering, Tyler did say those same sort of words back even though it wasn't actually shown in the episode. We do wonder if this move produces a change of thinking on Tyler's part, since we still haven't gotten any sort of Diary Room from him in which he has talked about his plans in specific terms.
What else was great this week? We're talking here mostly in terms of the Head of Household Competition, which was a delightful tribute to some past seasons that included a number of references to past players like Lawon and even the Regulators, quite possibly the worst alliance in the history of Big Brother. We love that the show can honor its past. Angela won the power, and of course nominated JC and Sam for eviction. There really wasn't any surprise at all when it came at least to this.
Overall, though, this was a surprisingly fun episode with a lot of ridiculous content in it from start to finish.
