The reason I thought maybe it was returning players is because the commercials keep saying 20 seasons has been "leading up to this"... what does that mean?

The preview in advance is the one downside of the real time nature of BB. The players haven't met each other are currently not in sequester and haven't done anything in the game yet so they have nothing they can actually show on the new players yet as compared to say survivor where they have the whole season done before anything airs so can start showing new players a lot earlier.

I hate it too. It's totally unfair and someone packed up all their stuff and put their lives on hold thinking they at least were going to have a fair shot and be there a week or two (as usually it's like 2 weeks till someone is finally evicted) and then they leave that very first day. It's horrible.. I always felt those people should've at least been invited back the next season. I hope they never do that again.
