Celebrity Big Brother episode 4 review: Bowling and little else

It's weird — even though Celebrity Big Brother has aired a ton of content on CBS over the past five nights, it really does still seem like the show is leaving a lot out in the edit perhaps even more so than the flagship version.
For example, it felt like a good half of the episode tonight was spent watching the Head of Household Competition, the same sort of dizzy bowling that we've seen in many other places in the past. While we understand that there are merits to watching people spin around to the point that they're falling over, did we really need this much of it? It's hard to imagine so.
Obviously the big story that came out of this was Omarosa having an asthma attack, which really shouldn't be altogether shocking since Omarosa is really the star of the season in terms of the CBS marketing campaign. We'd heard crazy stories about how she got hurt online but this really wasn't that dramatic.
Omarosa was ultimately okay, but when she did return she spent the majority of her time before the nomination ceremony asleep. Watching people try to greet her asleep was probably the second-funniest thing behind seeing Metta World Peace realize that he cast his vote wrong during the live show.

The nominations were easy to call in Omarosa and Keshia Knight Pulliam, with the show justifying that mostly because of some thin-at-best alliance that may have been there with Chuck. Mostly it was just that Omarosa was a threat and is intimidating and nobody wanted to deal with her.
What was nice to get, though, was a little bit more insight into Ross and Marissa Jaret Winokur's long-game plan of trying to target Shannon Elizabeth if the opportunity presents itself. Ross said tonight that he would only do that in the event Omarosa didn't return, but things can easily change in this game.

CarterMatt Verdict

We can't say that there was too much else interesting about this episode, given that the strategy talk was limited and we're super-mad that production didn't include any of the Brandi fight with Omarosa or some of the other super-dramatic stuff. It's almost like they don't want to make the celebrities look super-bad so they're being a little bit easier on them than they would normal contestants.
