Harvey Weinstein accuser Rose McGowan claims attorney Lisa Bloom offered her $6million to publicly support the disgraced media mogul who she says raped her.
In an emotional statement posted to what appears to be her private Facebook account, the former Charmed star accused celebrity attorney Lisa Bloom of approaching her literary agent to try and influence McGowan to publicly support Weinstein.
Bloom had represented Weinstein before resigning on October 7 after the scandal broke.
McGowan, who was one of the first women to publicly allege that Weinstein had sexually assaulted her, revealed she did not sign a non-disclosure agreement after reaching a settlement with the media mogul for $100,000 after she claims he raped her at a hotel room in 1997 during the Sundance Film Festival.
'You know what is truth, Lisa? I feel like people should know that you've been calling my literary agent and saying there'd be money for me if I got on the "Harvey's Changed" bandwagon?' the actor wrote.
'You told her that I should care about HIS reputation. How HE has a family now and how HE has changed. Well, guess what? I've always had a family and that didn't stop him from assaulting me.'

The actress claims that Charles Harder, another former Weinstein lawyer and Bloom co-counsel, met with her attorney to 'find out what you two pigs were going to do to me IF I TELL THE TRUTH.'
'I have to pay for two men to have coffee and croissants at a fancy restaurant to discuss MY ASSAULT and what would happen to me if I DIDN'T SHUT UP FOREVER' she wrote.
'When I was hurt by the Monster, my then lawyer was someone named David Feldman and he is the one who came at me with the $100,000 offer. He was just trying to curry favor from the swine, Lisa, just like you,' McGowan wrote.
'It would never have occurred to me to ask for money. Truly. The "payout" came after I asked my then powerful managers for help getting justice...A meeting took place between me and a bull framed criminal attorney, a women (sic), who seemed to delight that since I had done a sex scene in a movie, I would never win,' she continued.
'So I took the 100k. Two reasons. 1) it was my only way of telling the SWINE I was not willing to play along. He went ballistic... 2) Disgusting Hollywood people gave me hardcore PTSD and I needed out.'
Bloom vehemently denies McGowan's allegations.
'I never called Rose McGowan's literary agent. I don't even know who her agent is. I never threatened Rose McGowan, nor offered her money, nor reached out to her. This is completely false,' Bloom said in the statement to BuzzFeed News
'I have withdrawn from my representation of Harvey Weinstein and apologized for being involved in this. I am sorry for the pain Rose McGowan is in. But this is completely false.'
McGowan claims that Bloom threatened her in an attempt to silence her.
'I never signed an NDA. Back then I refused. I've told scores of people the truth. And the open secret in Hollywood and mainstream media laid shame at my door,' she wrote.
Rose McGowan called Bloom a 'snake' and said that she was offered a six million dollar settlement to stay quiet

Harvey Weinstein arrives at his home in NYC's West Village last week after revealing he has had 'really tough conversations' with his family after the allegations of sexual harassment against him
'Lisa Bloom, I had to play the trickiest game of my life because your threats were all about trying to silence me NOW.'
'The scarlet letter is yours, and it's S for SHAME,' McGowan said.
McGowan also asked Bloom if she considered how representing Weinstein would affect women.
'Did you think of how it would affect victims to see you champion a rapist? How it felt to those you once "fought for", for them to know that you used them? You remember them right?' she asked.
'They were the victims of assaults, women you'd previously helped. You lied to those hurt women and hid your true character. You wanted a shortcut to fame,' McGowan continued.
After Bloom resigned from the Weinstein legal team, she has said it was a 'colossal mistake' to represent him.
'I can see that my just being associated with this was a mistake,' Bloom said to Buzzfeed News.
'All I can say is, from my perspective, I thought, 'Here is my chance to get to the root of the problem from the inside. I am usually on the outside throwing stones. Here is my chance to be in the inside and to get a guy to handle this thing in a different way'. I thought that would be a positive thing, but clearly it did not go over at all.'
Bloom agreed to advise Weinstein with his 'anger and bombastic workplace attitude' before the New York Times broke the story on October 6. She claims she was 'totally unaware' of the sexual harassment allegations.

  • 'I am not an actress…this may be something that they knew about, but I did not,' Bloom said. 'Before all this became public, there were plenty of people who thought he was a great guy. So we have to be careful about looking at things in hindsight. I think many people who worked with him did not know.'
Bloom rose to fame a s a celebrity attorney defending women. She is the lawyer who represented Janice Dickinson in her rape allegation against Bill Cosby.
She also represented Blac Chyna when she filed for a restraining order against ex Rob Karadashian after he posted revenge porn photos online.
Bloom prevented Mischa Barton's ex-boyfriend from distributing a sex tape, and also represented three women filing claims against disgraced former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly.
More than 30 women have now come forward with allegations of sexual harassment against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, the man once described as 'God' of the film industry.
Saturday Night Live slammed Weinstein last night when Colin Jost said : 'He has been accused of multiple acts of sex assault. He doesn't need sex rehab- he needs a specific facility where no one could see him where there are metal bars... and it's a prison.'
