Peter Kraus is getting another chance at love on reality TV. The Bachelorette season 13 runner-up will be joining The Bachelor: Winter Games, where fan favorites, arch-rivals and villains from past seasons compete against each other in athletic challenges. Kraus' casting was confirmed by series creator Mike Fleiss on Twitter.

"I will be making a major announcement regarding #TheBachelor in the next couple hours!!!!!" Fleiss tweeted on Wednesday night before announcing that  Wisconsin native will be going for the gold on the upcoming spin-off. Mike Fleiss @fleissmeister
Yes, Peter will be looking for love-- and going for the gold-- on Winter Games!!!!

Kraus was being eyed as the next Bachelor star after he and Rachel Lindsay broke up on The Bachelorette season 13. However, the gig went to Arie Luyendyk Jr., who was Emily Maynard's runner-up on The Bachelorette season eight.

"ABC, you saw something in me, but something held me back. You treated me with such love and kindness and showed me glimpses of a life I never once dreamed that I could have. I will be forever humbled and grateful and will always look back at these last 6 months with an ear to ear smile, knowing that this has truly been a very special life indeed," Krauss posted on Instagram after Luyendyk was announced as The Bachelor season 22 star.
