Just imagine both how many women and men now feel emboldened enough to report sexual assaults, and the many more who are still shamed by what happened. It's sad that so many well known people, people that have served as role models because of good deeds, or because of a position they hold or he'd, are either admitting they participated in sexual assault or are being accused of it. I'm hoping 2018 can be the year of zero tolerance and zero excuses for sexual assaults. As for Netflix, hour long episodes cost much more than half hour episodes, more than double, depending on cast salaries. I keep seeing reports where Netflix, based on commitments via signed contracts, are, or will be, billions in the red. So it's possible this was last season. Orange Is The New Black only has one more season, too. And Netflix is cancelling series quickly in some cases, within a week of a series being released in some cases. So it may have been planned. But, if not, then I think Netflix reacted properly. Stacey didn't outright deny, he says he didn't remember it. And in same press release, didn't say hey, I'm not gay, instead he says he will now start living as a gay man. Probably wouldn't hold up in a court of law, but circumstantial evidence is sort of leaning towards the assault was likely. And from a public relations point of view, Netflix is smart to wrap up the series. Carrie Courter
