[FunBBGroup] Hells Kitchen

Ok
, this will have spoilers, so if you haven't watched last night's episode, you may want to wait to read.

To fill the accidental reading space some email programs have.....I have Spectrum cable now (guess it used to be both Charter and Time Warner), and I discovered a Music Choice 80s channel. I have it set to that, so after I finish watching a DVRd show, I get music that usually takes me back to happier times :) Currently, Patrik Swayze singing Shes Like The Wind. So sad he passed, he was truly talented.

Ok. So, last week, no one went home. Last night, Ben revealed he is diabetic. Not just diabetic, but newly diagnosed diabetic. When he revealed that, I questioned if he could handle this competition. I know each person is different, and I only know for sure how my diabetes is, but stress really affects my blood sugar in a big way. I was actually surprised that stress affects it so much. My old doctor and new doctor both said yes, for some stress is more of a factor than food. I'm one who it really affects, the morning we had to put our cat to sleep, my reading was 335. Given Ben went to the medic, and described his symptoms, I was surprised he was allowed to continue.

Once the one guy from the blue team was asked to go help and show Elise how to cook a strip steak, I figured the red team lost. Then that final ticket, when they were sent out, it was a yep, they are losing someone.

I fully agreed with putting Elise up. For so many reasons. It's apparently beneath her to help do manual labor tasks, and she walks around like her stuff don't stink ever, and she's just the best. Hello, you actually had to be taught how to cook a steak!!!! For all-stars, that shouldn't happen. That's like, at all-stars, not knowing how to cook risotto. I didn't agree with the second choice, based on one single bad fish plate. At the end. But, it was what got the red team booted from the kitchen.

After they gave their why I should stay spiels, I was surprised to hear Ramsey instead choose Ben. I fully agree with that though. His diabetes is clearly not fully under control yet, and he needs to be seen by an eye specialist for his vision, which may or may not be diabetes related (mine isn't, but I know it's a potential issue in future). His health is more important. And if there is another all stars, and he's got his health in check, maybe Ramsey will let him come back.
