Wendy Williams fainted during a live taping of her talk show on Tuesday. The incident occurred towards the end of her Halloween episode, during which she was dressed as the Statue of Liberty. The TV personality returned to the air after a long commercial break and insisted the fall was "not a stunt." Watch the frightening ordeal in the video below.
The talk show host was introducing a Halloween costume contest when she became woozy and started slurring her words. She began, "We do it every year, it's always a lot of fun. Let's get started." Williams then got quiet and began wobbling backwards with a scared look on her face, before ultimately hitting the floor. Members of the production crew rushed to her aide as the audience erupted in gasps and screams. The show immediately cut to commercial, but the host soon returned and explained what had occurred. "That was not a stunt," she said. "I overheated in my costume. I did pass out. But you know what? I'm a champ and I'm back!"Williams was able to finish the segment and announce the winners of the costume contest. After realizing it was time to close out the show, she jokingly asked the studio audience, "Is that the end of the show? Was I passed out for that long?" Jerry O'Connell, who was a guest on the talk show, went backstage to check on Williams following incident. Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for Williams for an update on her condition and to see if she'll be receiving medical attention. Watch video of the scary incident below.
