The Voice season 18 Top 5 will be revealed tonight. Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas will do their thing from home, while Carson Daly hosts from The Voice Universal studios in Los Angeles. While last night's performance episode was taped, the results will be revealed LIVE!

In addition, John Legend will debut the music video for his new single "Bigger Love," from his forthcoming new album due out this summer.

Oh man. Blake's internet connection is WONKY. Off to a great start tonight. Kelly says the at home shows have been a great boot camp for the artists. Blake jokes that Joe is his favorite Jonas brother.

Time for Results! The artists beam in from home, surrounded by family as they wait to learn their respective fates.

Megan Danielle and Micah Iverson from Team Kelly are up first. Dang. Dumb questions are back. Blah blah blah we love Kelly blah blah. The artist from Team Kelly who received the most votes is…Micah Iverson!

Allegra Miles and Thunderstorm Artis from Team Nick are next. Team Nick's finalist is…Thunderstorm Artis!

The Voice 16 winner Maelyn Jarman stars in a commercial for Mastercard, where she performs "Merry Go Round" with a contest winner.

Next, it's Happy Hour with the coaches. The Voice uploaded the video to Youtube last week. So, you've probably seen it already. One difference–John's kids appear in the TV version.

Now, it's time for Team Legend results for CammWest and Zan Fiskum. The artist from Team Legend advancing to the finale is…Cammwest

Next, it's a special first look at John Legend's "Bigger Love" music video. It's got an Instagram theme! The obligatory essential workers are front and center. And of course, Chrissy Teigen and the kids appear.

Time to reveal Team Blake. Todd Tilghman, Joanna Serenko and Toneisha Harris. And Todd is moving on!

Megan Danielle – Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd – Team Kelly – Great song choice for Megan. I like the bluesier, more soulful side to her voice. Kelly calls her "so rock n roll." She compliments her "pure raw talent." Kelly promises to help her anyway she can post-Voice. "Your believability is off the charts," says Kelly. Interestingly, she did not beg America to vote.

Allegra Miles – In My Blood by Shawn Mendes – Team Nick – This song choice would have been better than last night's tricky Stevie Wonder song. For one thing, she's invested in the performance in a way she was not last night. She would have never picked that Stevie song on her own, I bet. Nick notes how she got better and better during the course of the season. It was an honor working with her, he says, adding that she knocked the performance "out of the park." No begging America to vote–Nick basically delivered a goodbye speech.

Zan Fiskum – Always Remember Us This Way by Lady Gaga – Team Legend – Like the artists before her tonight, Zan obviously picked her own song, sounding more confident than she did last night. Zan's head voice is weak, compared to her mid range which allows her to hit high notes anyway. John says she has consistently stood out to him. He loves her angelic voice, and willingness to take risks. Finally tonight, a coach asks America to vote their team member into the finale.

Joanna Serenko – Unaware by Allen Stone – The save me performances have been especially great tonight. It's sad to say goodbye to Joanna. She possesses a beautiful, warm tone. She reminds me a bit of Laura Nyro here (gotta be old to remember her. Look her up!). Blake says she's had "a hell of a journey." She belonged to three teams! And she was instant saved last week. Understandably, Blake isn't begging America to vote. His other team member, Toneisha Harris is coming up.

I can't remember a less suspenseful semi-final results show. This new results format did not improve the episode. We probably would have gotten roughly the same Top 5, even without ensuring each team had a singer in the finale. But the competition would have been less predictable. Sad to see Joanna leave before the finale. It's crazy that coaches kept giving her up. She's so talented.
