Pilots for fall should be shooting now and they are not. So they can't even decide on new shows currently. Even if they decide on shows without pilots and shooting starts in June/July still a few months behind schedule. So an 8-week all stars that could fill Sep/Oct could give them a chance to have some of the new shows (and returning shows) ready in say November.
It is going to be interesting to see how the TV schedule looks next year. Bottom line though if scripted shows are not ready to air, BB is something that can be ramped up quickly even if it is a newbie season from online audtions. They can get that on the air quicker then 9-1-1 or other shows and they may need to like they did in the one winter season.
As much as I'm loving Winners at War, some kind of BB all-stars even if on an accelerated timeframe would be so much fun.

Yea, i thought them doing an all star now would be good too...you wouldn't really need auditions then. Even if they can start it in august let's say...(i certainly hope by then things will be better) then they can go to October or like you said do a fall season.

That is what I'm thinking. Fall is going to be very similar to the year of the writers strike which got us winter BB. I just pray they do a better job then they winter BB season..
My dream scenario - do a fall All-Stars season. Make it shorter then the normal summer season to intice people back.

Well since survivor is delayed and they usually start survivor when BB ends, maybe they will have a late start to BB and then push it into the fall schedule and then survivor would start late anyway.

Nothing is official but i find it very unlikely things will be to the point where they can do it. Speculation on my part..... If they do BB this summer it would be a late start and a short season at best. But without much fall programming I think they'd just push it to a fall/winter season.

Do you have a link that says BB is cancelled for the summer?

Yep, i figured this would happen. It stinks because we are all stuck at home and now there will be no new tv. I know big brother probably isn't happening this summer either and i'm so upset by that too. I guess we'll have to watch lots of repeats.

Filming for nearly every show has been suspended, or cancelled for the season. Some shows only had their season finale to film, and a few aren't even going to film it even if the crisis ends soon, while others are holding off to see.
