Re: [Reality-TV-Fanatics] US women's soccer team wins second straight World Cup title, fourth overall

I know and she has the right to do so its just she is a Trump hater so her anger is at him .  Ok but she played soccer for the USA team not the TRUMP team I feel she disrespected her country . Stand for the flag . hate who you want but don't blame the USA . Wait until you have won or lost or played the game then on your own time and out of your uniform trash who and whatever you want ---out of uniform .
oh and she has a platform . She was on MSNBCs Rachel Maddow show and I am sure she will make the CNN /MSNBC circuit of shows et al.
That's like she has said her whole team wont attend the White House event  ( I have heard that she speaks for her team and to not cause waves they are not saying but I want to go)
She refused Trumps event but readily accepted Nancy Pelosi Schumer event .
I just wish she would have just celebrated a USA win

It's not about politics but when you have a chance to make a statement you want to make sometimes you have to do it with what you have in front of you.  She likely won't have another platform to make the statement she wants to make. Whether we agree with what she's saying or not it's her chance to do something that will be heard.

US women's soccer team wins second straight World Cup title, fourth overall

The U.S. defeated the Netherlands on Sunday to win its second consecutive World Cup title. It's their fourth overall.
The Americans defeated the Dutch, 2-0, behind goals from Megan Rapinoe and Rose Lavelle. Rapinoe scored on a penalty kick in the 61st minute and Lavelle scored in the 69th minute.
It was a hard-fought battle between the U.S. and the Netherlands. The two squads were tied in the second half as it looked like the Dutch defense had the Americans' number despite the heavy attack.
A foul was committed on Alex Morgan in the box and after a VAR review and an official review, the U.S. was awarded a penalty kick.
Rapinoe took the kick and finally scored on the Netherlands goalkeeper Sari van Veenendaal.
Minutes later, Lavelle turned up the pressure on the Dutch with some nifty footwork and a big boot to score the Americans' second goal of the match.
The win marks the fourth time the U.S. has won the Women's World Cup. It is their second straight championship after having defeated Japan in 2015.
This is a developing story.. Check back for updates.
