Luke Perry is hospitalized after suffering a "massive stroke," according to reports.
TMZ and The Blast say that paramedics were called to the Riverdale actor's home in Sherman Oaks, Calif., on Wednesday at 9:40 a.m. to treat someone suffering a stroke. Perry, who soared to stardom in the '90s on Beverly Hills, 90210, was transported to the hospital.
A spokesperson for the star, 52, tells Yahoo, "Mr.. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital." No further details were provided.
Perry's health crisis occurred the same day that his former Peach Pit co-stars announced their Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot. The actor, a father of two, did not sign on to star in the project, which will feature Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling, and air on Fox. He played heartthrob Dylan McKay.
Well wishes for Perry popped up on social media immediately after news broke. Shannen Doherty, who played Brenda to his Dylan, shared a throwback of them hugging on the show.
Perry has appeared on Riverdale as Archie's father, Fred Andrews, since 2016.
