The Bachelor 2019 airs on ABC this evening with an all-new Monday, January 7, 2019, season 23 premiere and we have your The Bachelor recap below. On tonight's The Bachelor season 23 premiere as per the ABC synopsis, "The Season 23 premiere features Colton Underwood. Among the women vying for his affection: a pageant star who calls herself the "hot-mess express"; a confident Nigerian beauty with a loud-and-proud personality; a deceptively bubbly spitfire who is hiding a dark family secret; and a California beach blonde who has a secret that ironically may make her a perfect match for Underwood."

Colton is ready to travel the world and find love. This is going to be the best dramatic season ever, Colton's journey to find love starts now.
There are Bachelor viewing parties going on in several places live this evening. Bachelor alumni, Kaitlyn and JoJo are in Dallas, Texas. Ashley and Jared are in Park City, Utah. Also, in Lansing Michigan, there is Blake and Jason and Krystal and Chis "Goose" are in a hot tub backstage.
Time to meet some of the women that Colton will be dating. Cassie loves the water and is a Speech Pathologist. Hannah is Miss Alabama 2018 and finds Colton's virginity is very appealing to her.. Katie loves dancing but is looking for stability and security. Heather is always at the beach and never kissed anyone and is also a virgin. Onyekachukwu Ehie is not afraid to embarrass herself but also has a really big heart. Nicole works a lot with her brother who has autism. Kirpa is a Dental Hygienist and hopes Colton flosses. Demi never had a serious relationship, her mother is in federal prison.
We now take a look at some of the Bachelor couples and their children. Jason & Molly, Evan & Carly, JP & Ashley, Chris & Desiree, Jade & Tanner, Ryan & Trista and Arie & Lauren.
Its finally time for Colton to meet his 30 ladies. Demi is first and she tells him that she hasn't dated a virgin since she was twelve, Tayshia makes a good impression, Heather makes an awkward entrance, Nicole dazzles Colton with some Spanish, Caelyn comes in with her Miss North Carolina sash, Sydney reveals that she quit her job to be on the show, Elyse is very nervous and has no clue what she said, Tashjian's entrance is a little awkward, Cassie brings a box of butterflies to break the tension, Kirpa and Colton share an awkward hug, Caitlin brings a cherry balloon and pops it then tells Colton now that she popped his cherry they don't need to talk about it, Courtney brings a sweet Georgia peach and gives Colton a bite,
Katie does a card trick with Colton, Erika brings nuts for Colton, Hannah makes a cute and charming entrance, Tracy shows up in a police car and calls herself the fashion police, Angelique wore lots of glitters so Colton would remember her, Devin is super nervous, Revian speaks a little Mandarin to be remembered by, Nina also makes an entrance with a different language, Alex has laryngitis but is still there, Bri has an Australian accent – but not really, she did it to stand out, Laura has the same dress as one of the other girls, Hannah arrives with a present, Jane shows up with a photo of her dog and Colton's dog, Catherine shows up with her dog, Lucie, Erin shows up in a Cinderella coach, and probably the weirdest is Alex who shows up as a Sloth.
Demi is the first girl to pull Colton aside once Colton goes into welcome all the women. They share compliments and Demi thinks he has a crush on her. Erika finds it is so weird that Colton is a virgin and she asks him right out after he forgets her name – Colton says that it was a conscious decision and he is not going to randomly lose it on the wrong person. Colton is bouncing from conversation to conversation and is having trouble keeping up. Hannah and Colton seem to hit it off. Caelynn makes the best impression by getting a kiss from Colton. The First Impression Rose is put on the table and tension builds in the room. The antics get weirder in the hopes of getting some attention from Colton, but probably the weirdest is the sloth. Alex finally takes off her sloth costume and it looks like Colton is relieved. Catherine is trying to steal Colton away and some of the women are not impressed.
Onyeka speaks to Catherine, tells her that she is rubbing a lot of the women the wrong way by interrupting their alone time with Colton. The talk makes no impression on Catherine, she continues to interrupt Colton and their other ladies.
Katie has a real connection with Colton and he leans in for a kiss with her. Some of the women are getting worried because it is getting late and all of them haven't had alone time with Colton.
Time for Colton to give out his First Impression rose, he grabs it and goes right to Hannah, seals it with a kiss.
Time for Colton's first Rose Ceremony. The first rose goes to Caelynn, then Katie and Alex B., Hannah B., Onyeka, Caitlin, Annie, Kirpa, Heather, Elyse, Tayshia, Courtney, Cassie, Demi, Nina, Erika, Sydney, Bri, Angelique, Tracy, Nicole, and the final rose goes to, Catherine.
The ladies that didn't get a rose, say their goodbyes. A lot of the women can't believe that Colton kept Catherine. One thing is for sure, there won't be a lack of drama in the house with Catherine staying there.
