Oh NOOOOO Not Madam Secretary!! I hope it doesntr hurt her ratings too much. maybe just the one week.
I do think maybe Murphy Brown will recover next week with out Hilary.
That doesn't mean that Hollywood is done trying to force Hillary down our throats. She will be making a cameo on "Madam Secretary" soon.
Its producers might want to look at what happened to "Murphy Brown." Hillary is ratings poison.
Hillary Clinton stunt backfires on CBS (ratings disaster!)
by Frank Holmes, reporter
If you think you're seeing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on TV a lot lately, you're right. The 2008, 2016, and 2020 presidential hopeful came out of retirement to lose one more competition – by tanking the ratings of the "Murphy Brown" reboot.
CBS massively hyped the return of "Murphy Brown," the early 1990s sitcom that made its name by trashing conservatives.
The show – which ran for nearly 10 years and has been off the air for 20 years – started back up in the modern day. Brown (played by actress Candice Bergen) works for the network CNC, while her son works for a conservative network called Wolf News.
In the pilot, Brown bashes Republicans, wins a Twitter war with President Donald Trump and tells a Steve Bannon lookalike named "Ed Shannon" that he's "a sad, sad, sad, sad dinosaur."
It even had a cameo from Hillary, who interviewed for a job as Brown's secretary – and Hillary has all the humor and warmth of a salamander.
When Brown asks Hillary if she has ever used e-mail, Hillary says, "I do have some experience with e-mails."
The reboot had a huge following, a loyal network, and even the most recent Democratic Party presidential candidate.
It had everything – except viewers.
Americans are sick of Hollywood's liberal propaganda… and the ratings show, they're tuning it out.
"Murphy Brown" rated at the bottom of its two-hour "comedy" block last Thursday night.
It had 7 million viewers and earned a measly 1.1 share among adults aged 18 to 49.
About 15% of the people who watched "Mom" at 9 p.m. changed the channel when Murphy and Hillary came on the air.
Compare their flagrant failure with conservative-leaning shows.
When "Roseanne" came back to TV after two decades – as a proud Trump-supporter – it was the highest-ranking show on TV in 5 years..
It garnered a massive 25 million viewers, with a hefty 7.3 share with 18-to-49-year-olds.
A show with as much buzz as "Roseanne" could be a one-off – but it happened again, one night after Bergen and Hillary fell flat.
Conservative comedian Tim Allen's "Last Man Standing" – which got pulled off the air over his conservative views – came roaring back on TV Friday night.
When the seventh season debuted – on Fox, this time – it nearly doubled it viewers over last season.
"It was also Fox's most watched comedy on any night in nearly seven years, excluding NFL nights, and was by far the top-rated show of Friday night," Variety reported.
Allen had some harsh words for the Clintons… he once said they were like "herpes," because they never go away!
Maybe not, but America can tune them out – and they decided to watch Allen instead.
But the shambles CBS made of its "Murphy Brown" reboot can't be chalked up just to Hillary. Today, every so-called "comedy" is dedicated to humiliating conservatives: Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, "The Daily Show," Samantha Bee, and the list goes on and on.
The public is screaming for a television show that treats them like normal human beings instead of "deplorables.""Roseanne" delivered – and ABC execs chucked it the first chance they got.
Now, "Last Man Standing" is the… last man standing. And it's standing tall..
That doesn't mean that Hollywood is done trying to force Hillary down our throats. She will be making a cameo on "Madam Secretary" soon.
Its producers might want to look at what happened to "Murphy Brown." Hillary is ratings poison.
But look at the bright side: At least she's not broadcasting from the Oval Office.
